Hmm, after you try logging in and it doesn't work, have you tried hitting back on your browser and reloading the page?

It happened again, and I tried refreshing my screen. Still didn't work. I had to log in twice.

I dunno what's wrong...

Try deleting your browser's cookies and making sure that it is allowing cookies from thetechnodrome.com.

The forums have been upgraded from phpBB 2.0.4 to phpBB 2.0.5, which has more bug fixes and better stability. Please let me know if you come across any errors that were not in the last version.

Cool, it actually seems to be running faster now.. unless that's just my imagination. But I am pretty sure the forums are running faster

It should be even faster now, since I added a template caching feature to reduce server load (so we don't get suspended again) and speed up page loading times. If anyone notices problems such as blank pages, let me know.

well, i couldn't enter the site yesterday... every link i tried brought me a 404...

but now everything is ok

though, i can't notice if it's faster

Yeah I had the same problem.. Except I do notice that the Forums are faster. Even on this stupid 33.6K modem

Yeah, the page was suspended because we were using up too much resources on the server. I'm not sure what caused this, but I added the template caching feature so that it is less likely to happen again.

Woah... The forums are definitely loading faster for me. I'm on a 56k modem for the summer, so I'm very thankful for the upgrade.

BTW Krang, I still get that strange error I reported in this thread. I log on, but then all the folders are marked "read," my name appears on the bottom, but the forum says I'm not logged in. I have to log in twice. Dunno if this happens because I don't log on as often as I used to, or if it's some sort of bug.

I think it might be a problem with your ISP switching your IP address too often, since the board uses your IP address as part of the validation process. Did you get this problem when using another ISP?

Yep, sorry, I increased the time to 30 seconds to cut down on posts that consist of only an emoticon or a single word, since those have been increasing lately.
