Wow, my first post here! Hope it is one of many!!

I bought a book about Billboard Top 40 Hits from the 50s to the 90s, and I was surprised to find out "Turtle Power" peaked at No. 13 in the Billboard Top 100 and was a gold single in 1990. I didn't expect the song to become a hit.

And I'm not surprised in the least. If anything, I'm disappointed that it didn't reach the Top 10. That song was the most played track in my local Pizza Hut back in the day.

Wasn't it though? and I also remember MTV and Jukebox Network playing the hell out of it too. (Heh Jukebox network. I bet most of you forgot about it by now

Jukebox Network was a channel kind of like MTV. Except, they gave you a 1-900 number where you could call in and pick which Videos are played. Each call gave you 3 Video choices, and cost like 2 bucks. T-U-R-T-L-E Power was a regular pic on there during that time period. You seriously couldn't watch the channel with out seeing it a few times. it was great.

Regardless of where I heard it, I heard a lot of "Turtle Power" during that year. Good times, they were.
