Check out his wikipedia entry.

And this penny arcade strip.

And this article explaining it.

I did have a whole bunch of quotes followed by my own counterpoints, but really I think these things speak for themselves.

Guy's a fascist assclown. Nuff Said!

However, it is ture that the millitary does use FPS to help soldiers overcome part of the fear of killing someone. Still, like I said before, unless a person is screwed up, video games don't make you kill. I think Jack needs to focus his time on things that happen in the real world, not the virtual one.

Jack probably thinks PlayStation's tag line "Live in your world, Play in ours" reads "Live in your world, Kill in ours"

"Nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you're a hit man or a video gamer," Thompson told the paper.
That, my friends, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Seriously, the technogical witch hunt is getting pretty old. Then again, we live in a democracy that guarantees freedom of speech -- but I wish this guy would shut up, all the same.

GamePro Magazine said it best way back in 1998: "Most violence stems from genuine physical and psychological abuse, not from polygons. The more video games are targeted as culprits, the longer American society will spend in denial. However, when policymakers begin taking real measures to deal with psychotic violence -- like providing education in schools concerning the reality and danger of abuse -- then they'll begin to get a handle on it."
