Leo has always been my favorite and I never could decide on a 2nd favorite but Mikey is starting to become that 2nd. He's really got a gentle and caring soul (not that the others don't).

I don't have a favorite and I'm capable of relating to any of them. True, they are capable of hurting someone, and could snap my back with ease if they wanted to, but I know they're all good at heart and mean no harm except to those that mean harm to them.

In my opinion, the age order makes sense. Typically, the oldest sibling(s) feel responsible for the younger one(s) and strives to please the parent. Also, the oldest siblings are much academically inclined and smart whereas the youngest is the most creative. As for Raph, he does act like a middle child by having a temper.

I don't think Raph was so much the bodybuilder of the group for those cards as they were kind of accompanying the old toon that the figures were made for.

Heh. Remember "Cowabunga, Shredhead"? Mikey was certainly putting on the pounds so Splinter put him on a brain-washed induced no-pizza diet.

You know, to come and think of it. I remember a long time ago, about when the first movie came out, I think the movie toys had ages on them, and I swore Leo was listed as old as 17. But I don't have those toy boxes anymore, so *shrugs*

I do have the old movie trading cards, but they are in storage up in New York, and I reside in Florida at the moment, so can't exactly dig them out. But does anyone have those old trading cards?

The toy boxes were never correct in their ages, so those are a nonfactor. The only factor here is the truth. Which is...

Leo
Don
Raph
Mike

So says Pete.

i remember on the old arcade game it gave bios of all the turtles. It showed Leo as being 17 while all the others were 15. Even had Splinter listed as 30.

Were you thinking of these?

But it looks like Leo was 16, though I think Splinter should have been much older. Also notice Don is listed at 4 foot, 9 inches, but he was the same size as the rest in the game.

"Gets off on Zen and heavy metal," holy crap that's funny and inappropriate.

Seriously, how old is Splinter, though? Rats don't live too long (like 3 years?) and he only transformed right when the Turtles did. He's gotta be like 2 years older than they are.

Remember, Splinter was a man in the old toon, not originally a rat.

And I love it when Leonardo "gets serious."

dang don is a shrimp, why is he the smallest? lol do they hate don or something?

oh and splinter, the guy has a point, how could splinter have been so old in the comics if he was a rat, wouldn't he be a little older than the turtles, or is it the fact that rats "age" so much faster that he appeared to be older *shrugs*

I always thought they were the same age. They're reptiles not mamals. How many Turtle eggs does a momma Turtle lay at the same time? Does she do it in succession? Would birth order be determinded by who hatched first?

For the record, I agree with the standard Leo, Don, Raph, Mike order. Though different media do mention different orders for example the old newspaper strip says that Donny hatched last, making him the youngest in that continuity.

You're right, Time Mistress... if they actually were from the same brood they really are all the same age, no matter in what order they hatched (that shouldn't be enough of a time difference for the birth order to effect their personalities, anyway).

Splinter may have been a normal rat when the turtles were tiny toddlers, but maybe the mutagen slowed the aging process down. And, if he was capable of mastering ninja techniques from a cage, maybe he just never was an ordinary rat...

That always bothered me so much. Everything in the entire series was more plausible to me than a pet rat learning a martial art (not just the physical part, but the spiritual and mental part, too). Furthermore, when did he learn Japanese--or English? I think maybe he was one special rat to begin with.
