I think I'm the only one that genuanly enjoyed this episode. I thought it was cute and a nice little break. It was just a episode ment to entertain not to to make you anticipate the next move and wow you. It's nice to have little breaks like this. I will say that I'm a bit tired of every time any one time travels they end up in the dino era.
I think I'm also in the minority and saying that I liked seeing the turtles as tots again. Though I wasn't too big on them with their buck teeth like in season five. Actually I was wondering if this took place shortly after they visited the tribunal for the first time since they don't look like "kid" age and more like their two/three year old ages. It appears that Splinter got to business as soon they got back from Japan because it seems the the tot turtles already know some ninjitsu and acrobatic moves. Serling was funny in this episode, unlike other people here I've come to like Serling and his quirky personality. He provided me and my younger sister with many a chuckle through out. Jolly old chap that Serling is. Spot on, spot on. And it was great to see Splinter whole again. But I noticed that the screwed up continiuity by giving him a cane to walk with. He's not supposed to have a cane at this point, he gets the came years later when Draco jumpss him at the battle nexxus and injures him. Am I the only one that remembers this?

Just seen this ep thanks to tmnt-files.
Mini Mutants Serling was awesome. A pleasant return from the Toddler TMNT and Splinter. Really enjoyed this episode. ===HERO |

*pouts, sulks, etc*
I forgot how much they like to rearrange scheduling... I have a Spider-Man ep on my tape, and no Turtles. Hopefully I'll get to see it later... I'm a Serling fan, too. *more pouting*

I don't remember if the show established when Splinter defeated Draco at the Battle Nexus...how old the turtles were at that time. I haven't seen this week's ep yet (waiting for it to come online), but am curious to know...do the VAs do a better job sounding like little kids? While they did an okay job in past episodes sounding like children, they were horrible in "Fathers and Sons" (most of the time they sounded like their present day selves...hardly any effort to sound little...that made the episode somewhat irritating to me along with the stupid looking buck-teeth look.) |

This episode seemed pretty fun. It was different for this season and I'm gald it was. I dunno about you guys, but I like light stuff once in a while. The toddler Turtles and the fact that Serling was small was a nice attempt at a kid friendly aspect. I didn't think that would work all that well, but it actually did.
I think the humor was well-represented and it didn't feel overused. Serling just did some funny, unexpected things and I wouldn't mind seeing more of that. All in all, a fun episode. Not exactly what I expected, but I'm glad it focused more on the aspects of Splinter's wisdom and the Turtles' concern for one another as toddlers. Can't wait till next week's.

It was definately a throw-away episode, but shoot me, I really didn't mind it. I've always liked Serling, so it was nice to see him star in an episode, and it's about time his separation from Cody be brought up. Turtle tots were alot less annoying here than they were in "Fathers and Sons," but I still hate them.
Still, this was much better than any of the Turtle Titan/Justice Force episodes they seem so fond of. Two things I really loved were: a) The confirmation of a predistination time theory. Meaning the timeline already accounts for instances of time travel. Apparently the Turtles remembered having their "toy" before they even met Serling, and were suprised to learn that it was their own time travel escapades that landed him in the past. b) The Turtles finally did something nice for Serling. It wasn't doing their characters any good when they were being dicks to him. |

Well it may have been called "The Incredible Shrinking Serling" but he only shrunk down to action figure size. I totally didn't expect a Chibi Turtle ep!! I love how Splinter even looked younger.
The toy shop owner reminded me ALOT of the DC villian Toy Man. But at least he realized it was stupid to pine for a toy for 80 years. Still it was kinda nice that Serling gave the turtles things to do. I would have LOVED to have gone with Leo to see that museum exhibit on the Kamakura period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamakura_period I for one loved this ep. Course I love all the Chibi Turtle eps. Plus this one was educational for the kids in that there were several lessons learned about sharing and being greedy. Next week: Klunk returneth!!!

Nice episode. I love seeing turtle tots!!! I never realized how many dudes can't stand them.
The only thing I don't like is that besides Don, everyone is acting so nonchalant about getting Splinter back. Leo going to a museum, Raph going to a grudge match and Mike seeing a horror movie instead of trying to recover Splinter....it just seems so out-of character That toy guy really creeped me out. "My cherished?!" Ex-squeeze me??? Even little Mike noticed his crazed behavior-"He's like in love with it." I was kind of disappointed in Serling too. I thought he was so desperate to return home cause he missed Cody but really he just can't stand the turtles and living in the sewer. I guess all the robots in 2105 are just stuck up.

Okay, I must admit that I kinda thought the ep was cute (the drawings on the blog don't give the lil turtles justice), but the whole matter of Splinter being JUST a Don project is getting ridiculous. I would think that Don will eventually turn to the others and say something about it. "He's not just MY dad, you know... you Could help somehow." If I was left in that kind of situation where I had to take care of my parents alone, while my brothers were f*cking off somewhere else, I'd be furious...
I'd say 3 out of 5 stars. Cute at some points, but definitely a sidestory. |

This episode was good. I know the kid we saw playing with his toys was a big part of this episodes and he was. He made toys for a living. I was also thinking this guy is a future Turtle villan. Well I was wrong. Serling was so worrie about messing up the furture. Well he was wrong, he mess up the future and this is how. So first he's a robot from the future yeah so a robot from the future is not that bad right wrong because he has parts in him that weren't made yet. Ok so the turtles toddler, later in the episode fine him and took him home fighting to see who will keep him. That whole time I was thinking ok so the Turtles will remember him when they shouldn't because they meet him in the future. Words that comes from Mikey ( please tell me if I'm wrong) Oh yeah I remeber fight over you as a kid but I forgot about that. Will they forgot about it. I get it now. You know guys there wasn't alot of action this episode and that good. I mean I like action but I also like a story. With a little action.

![]() I really hope that Serling has a new appreciation for the turtles and vice versa. I like Serling (and as the dude said, I too am glad I got the Serling figure), but I really think that Mikey treating him like crap all the time is wearing thinner than tissue paper.

I decided to sleep in today, and my DVR decided not to record this episode. WTF am I paying for a recorder that refuses to record what I set it for?

Unfortunately that's the problem of being such serious dark issues in a kids' show. I guess finding Splinter is a Don project cause they can't have all 4 turtles moping and sobbing all season... especially since this was meant to be the season to make up for Fast Forward and maybe.. the last season? Now wants Teenage Mutant Emo Turtles, so let's make em.... not care! yay!
