And we really shouldn't think of the page proofs that Mirage let Archie just throw away, all because Mirage was too cheap to pay for the shipping. That one just hurts too much.

Not what I was aiming at, exactly...

Now, quoth Wikipedia:

Quote:
The artists and writers participating in the Bill’s creation were Steve Bissette, Craig Farley, Gerhard, Mark Martin, Larry Marder, Michael Zulli, Ken Mitchroney, Scott McCloud, Dave Sim, Rick Veitch, Peter Laird, Kevin Eastman, and the artists of Mirage Studios.

When did this happen?

I think I just died a little. The phrase "Let's not republish this" should never come out of anyone's mouth at Mirage, especially in a situation like that.

Murph mentioned it in the comments for his blog before turning them off. They were negociating with I think papercutz about reprinting Archie, but it turned out Papercutz wanted V3, and so Mirage said no cause they'd have to share with image and the creators. This was a couple years ago.

That is indeed sad news. I have all of the Archie and V3 comics but if they where republished again I would have certainly bought them.

I'd have bought them myself.
