Did he use his nunchucks at all in the 2nd and 3rd movies ?
In Britain they probably would have cut them out back in the early 90's if he did use them so I'm not entirely sure.

Oddly enough, only Don and Leo ever used their weapons after the first film. The funny part is, LEO CUT SHREDDER!!!! See, that's what has always bothered me about these stupid parents rights people... "Shredder died because of the nunchaku... SO THE NUNCHAKU ARE EVIL!!! BAN THEM NOW!!!!" And, of course, there was also the baptists trying to sue them for using the word "God" in the first film. Silly baptists... Oh, and before anyone flames me, I was a baptist, so I know what I'm talking about...

Well the ban of chuckus didn't happen beacuse of the movie. It is true that parents ruined the second TMNT movie, but those are two diffrent things.

For the pole just look at a Home Depot or something like that. They should have long poles of wood there. At least thats where I've seen them.
I meant a Toy pole. The Nuckchas I have are just toy nuckchas. I saw a Donatelloe Electronic pole toy at target once. I need Sais so I can imatate Raphel(my fav ).

I got into the habbit back in 1992 or 93' when I was little. I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.

I hate bad parents! ! It's because of them and they're lack of being able to take care of their kid properly that so many things are ruined. Not only that, but because of the 9/11 attacks, many shows got edited and some episodes didn't even get aired!!! Also, for the Transfans, they had to lenghten missiles and shorten smokestacks on some of the reissues and they can't even reissue the original Megatron because he turned into a gun! And I too can't see how nunchukus are more violent than swords or sais (even a bo can seem more dangerous because kids will go outside, pick up a stick, and start beating their friends/siblings with it!). Nunchukus seem like the least dangerous! Argh! When will people learn how to take care of their kids!!! And when will people learn not to be so offended. Another thing that really makes me mad is that they edited the movie E.T. When the mom was yelling "no guns! they're only kids!" and when it shows them pointing a gun at Elliot and E.T. they edited out the gun. That was the whole frickin' point of why they were panicking!!! Fortunately with the 2-disc E.T. set they put the edited version for people who can't take real life and the original version for people who can take real life.

btw, them taking out weapons made secret of the ooze funnier (Mikey using his "combat coldcuts", Leo using his katanas to swing and hit those guys, and when Raph caught the slice of pizza on his sai!)

I'd heard that the nunchucku were banned because they were something kids could more easily make/get their hands on. Now this sounds a bit stupid to me because it would be damn easy to make a bo from a broomstick, dowel, or whatever. Nunchucks don't seem terribly accessible to me.

Of course, I also think people are far more likely to hurt themselves fooling around with nunchucks than with katana, sai, or a bo. If I had to defend myself and I had a choice between the four weapons (and no training), I'd pick the katana or bo as the least likely to hurt me, most likely to hurt my attacker.

Of course, who knows what the censors were thinking. I hate people who meddle with good things.

funny thing is, right about when the movie came out, i saved up money to buy a pair of chucks at the mall(i was about nine, i think). wasn't much trouble getting them. i got a couple shuriken too. i never hit my friends with them or anything though, i just started learning how to use them.

My friends are probably happy I've never gotten my hands on any weapons...

Here's the problem in a nutshell ( turtle shell? )

Many parents these days are lazy. They can't be bothered to watch their children properly and so rather than moniter what their children watch, play etc they prefer to force the rest of the world to do it for them.
And I will also add this.Any child stupid enough to try to recreate any violent scenes shown on cartoons is an idiot and we should let them go ahead and kill themselves so they can't grow up,breed and muddy the gene pool with their moron genes.
I know that some say that cartoons should be censored because the characters survive things that would kill a normal person,Kids supposedly view this stuff and think they can copy it since the character came out OK. This is bull.Have these people even watched any cartoons? The Coyote may survive but he always looks like he is in considerable pain. Why would any intelligent child would want to copy this? .What kind of lackwit willingly does things to themselves that they know will result in pain?
When I was a kid I had a chance to purchase a pair of Sai.I came very close to buying them but for some reason I didn't. I wanted them,of course because of Raphael.I had no intentions of actually using them.I just thought they'd be cool to have because of their Turtle connection. I had enough sense to realize I couldn't do the things seen in the show.

It's also a sort of control issue. When parents have kids, they finally have a chance to not be their parents and give their kids everythign they didn't. Yet, in tryig to give these things to their kids, they also take away many of the things that make a kid a kid thus taking away most of the valuable lessons learned during childhood. And now we see a lot of people growing up without the common sense that most of us grew up with, and even more lost while we were growing up. I hate to say it, but I believe that political correctness will be the downfall of this country. Good intentions, placed in the hands of fools, lead to foolish results. I know this from experience, believe me.
