Hey, when those episodes come out on DVD I will buy my own copies, and I do buy my own comics. So tell everyone to quit bein so cheap. The comics aren't even that expensive.

If i could buy the comics in argentina i would, but i cant, so quit rubbing it in.
I did bought an archie comic, but that was back when sylvapen was releasing them in argentina, i cant find em anymore...not to mention the mirage comics were never released here and i bet the new mirage havent either.
I don't know about the image tmnt, they might have been since i've seen some image comics were released here (not tmnt image, i mean spawn.) so they might've been released back then, i have no idea since i havent seen one.
I'm not buying em from the net, not only because i dont buy stuff online, but because any comics other than the new ones are out of print and are being selled by guys trying to make a quick buck out of them and no money goes out to the authors, so what's the point.
I've heard about milehighscomic.com were you can get image tmnt comics and i bet money does goes to the authors thru that site (seems to be a very prestigious site so i bet they have a direct connection with image) but ive said i dont buy from the net.
But if there's people in america that *can* find em then GO DO SO INSTEAD OF DOWNLOADING THEM.At least you can

No Mirage has been released here either. Of course the financial state of Argentina is probably very diffrent from Finland's. It's true that not all have the possibility to buy them.

Well it is true that we are not very well economically here, but that does not justify to bootleg comic scans and i would actually try and save some money to go buy the comics themselves, the real deal.
The point is the dollar here is 3 pesos (before the dollar was 1 peso, meaning 1x1, now its around 1x3, so if i buy from the net, and most sites only accept dollars, that'd cost me the triple, not to mention i'd need a credit card)...as much as i like the tmnt i dont have that much money to spend on comics...now if the comics were being released by some latinamerican company and selled on actual comics stores here i would gladly buy em as the price wouldnt be that crazy.
But since my country is so bad economically, why the hell would the united states import the comics here?Companies go where the money is, you can see that clearly when tmnt was a hype here in argentina and the archie comic got released, but no mirage...why?Most people wouldnt buy them because all they know is the toon
So it's not about being cheap, i'd buy them, but as it is now, there is very little chance of the comics coming here.

Yeah, Mirage was pretty much underground, not over commercialized like Archie, and therefore it didn't spread tha much.

True...that's why i think archie and maybe image did got released here, but not mirage, they're not really an internationally popular comic company like dc or whatever.
btw pwdesai i'm glad you're still scanning em that reminds me i'll remove the mirage vol 4 scans off my list, most peeps can buy em off the official site.
Hm..i guess that's the problem of mirage being an 'underground' company, it doesnt get spread over the world all that much...
*edit* in fact now i'm wondering..did the mirage comics ever got translated to another language to be released in another country other than the u.s.a?anyone knows?Because i havent seen any other version of it other than the american one which might mean mirage tmnt only stayed in the us...and...well that's wrong >:p

When comic sites sell them, they sell them because they're liquidating their stock basically. milehighcomics has the TMNT comics for ridiculously cheap. prolly a 1.5 per issue. Either way, you can always look for deals on ebay or whatever.

I do not buy from the net, that'd require a credit card and i just plain dont like buying stuff online.
I encourage anyone in america to do so tho, or any other country for that matter if they can afford it, but dont count me in.

Yeah i know azraelito but it'd be the same as importing it myself as it'd still be expensive.

Comic Scans

Savanti Romero's TMNT Archive used to have all the covers of all the comics, but not neccessarily of each reprint. I was even in the process of scanning whole comics and posting a new one each month. That's something I intend to continue with once I get back home and to my collection.

At one point I was making a comic veiwer in Visual Basic, one that I had intended on completing but gave up on.

When I get home I'll be restoring the archive.

Really? That's so cool it'd sure help me with my quest on learning how to draw fanartjitsu :p
It's good to know someone else will help out with the scans pwdesai does a great job but scanners sure are needed nevertheless.
BTW i think i have never seen your website, as it seems to be down now and the newest version of the archived site in www.archive.org seems to be from the year 2000 (back then i didnt even had internet i think) but i'm glad you'll be restoring the site sounded like an awesome site.
The comic scan viewer app is a good idea, i think i found something like that in an irc channel some time ago but never tried it...i'll post the name here if i find it again but dont hold your breath as i cant even remember the name of the app
