Some of my wild specs-

The kraang are stranded on earth (power source is now recaptured) and need to return to Dimension X with genetic material to diversify their clone/borg like armies (of which the Roseanne is the 'queen' bee).

or

The kraang are trying to develop biological bodies for themselves. April is possibly the first successful hybird.

And

The technodrome (redesigned) will appear.

That could be the return of Roseanne voicing the Kraang Prime. It was hinted in "The Pulverizer" that the portal to the Kraang's home dimension would open soon, so Dimension X (or whatever name they use) is just around the corner. But I really hope that it is the return of the Technodrome since that would be a huge cliffhanger for Season 2. I wish Nick ends this series on a cliffhanger and not a resolution since there is another season confirmed, and such questions about "Will the Turtles make it out alive" if they are trapped/controlled by the Kraang could create speculation with regards to "How the Turtles will get saved" as Season 2 begins. Like someone has said, the Shredder/Foot will become more important in Season 2, as we are only seeing his introduction as the Turtles need time to build their skills to take them down. -Kraang shown to develop hybrids/clones
-Dimensional Portal Opens
-Kraang Prime appears
-Technodrome Returns

Meanwhile, Fong, Tsoi, and Sid reply to their boss Hun about the turtles and Foot. Thus, Hun, along with 2 others (Bebop and Rocksteady) go and investigate the scene. An alliance between the Purple Dragons and Foot is made. Meanwhile, Spike is oozed. Splinter and April witness this. Soon, Spike becomes Venus. Baxter is oozed and becomes a fly. Sadly, the turtles remain trapped in Dimension X.

Seeing how faithful they were with handling the Shredder's segment (battling with the turtles in The Gauntlet episode), I expect Kraang Prime's segment would have similar treatment as well as you mentioned. Faitful to the original comic, but a little tweaking here and there.

If it is not, I'm still open minded to any direction they're leading the story.

The hive mind of the kraang reminds me a little of both the borg and the daleks. I guess it's possible that the kraang soldiers on earth are scouts checking to see if their biological weaponary (the mutagen) will work in exterminating and/or incorporating life on earth into their armies.

Me too, but fandom won't be happy with anything less than a 12-part epic Spike arc featuring a cameo of the villains from Mirage volume 1 issue #12 and about a million references to what happened in every previous episode ever. Not just previous episodes of TMNT either, it has to be references to EVERYTHING that's ever been on television.
