https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEWqNQXdPVQ If you watch the nunchucks part it takes the ninja a few swings to get to the brain. Valuable time and energy wasted with the nunchucks. Mikey would be better off with a Hammer.

Good point. It was the reach I was concerned about more than the Sai's offensive capability. But you're right. It would take more effort and time to kill a zombie with nunchucks than it would with a Sai. And when you're surrounded by flesh eating horrors time is definately a factor.

Plus you have to get momentum going with the nunchucks to do anything, and momentum would decrease if not stop with each blow, forcing Mikey to swing his arms in big motions. Raphe with his Sai can keep his arms closer in and be more defensive well on the attack.

Casey Jones I believe would be a wild card. He has the strength and stamina to keep going but I think he would rush into a situation without thinking all the way through (kinda like Zog in return to new york).

All you have to do is do damage to the brain. If you can stab a zombie through the eye and kill a zombie with a screwdriver (as seen on the walking dead) you can do Kill a zombie with a Sai. It'll be a little close for comfort but you can definitely get the job done.

I'm honestly shocked no one has mentioned when the TMNT fought zombies in the later Archie comics issues.

Those are very cool looking. My question is how graphic are they? how much blood, guts, and gore?. Being Archie i doubt very much.

If we were talking just turtles my order would go: Mikey (nunchucks are useless against zombies. He would have no chance unless he changes his weapon). Then Raph (bad temper plus short range weapon is no good for crowd control). Donnie would outsmart the zombies for a while. Eventually getting over run with out the other two or saving a human. Leo has the best chance with his level head, best weapon, and intelligence.

And I seen the Zombies In A Halfshell before. It was brought to my attention 'cus I love both zombies and TMNT lol But I dunno... How would the TMNT do in a zombie world? Probably poorly HAHA! Ok they are a bit survivalist being that they live where they can and are "off the radar". They know how to be silent and keep out of sight. So, as far as any of that goes I suppose the Turtles would be well off. As far as food and supplies... they love their pizza and after the zombies hit there would be no more pizza. What else do they eat? Apples, I'm sure. They are still turtles despite eating pizza and a few other human foods so I suppose they could go roughage if they needed to. Weapons... none of them have firearms or training. They are all close combat weapons which means they could burn out their stamina before being able to get away. This is assuming they were to get caught by any zombies prowling around. They are supposed to be the shadows so in my mind I would think the Turtles would seem "invisible" to the zombies. Unless we're dealing with zombies that can somehow smell... We dont know how mutant turtles smell and maybe they would smell just off enough to not attract zombies. Leo and Don are probably the best suited with weapons. Leo uses swords, like Michonne of the Walking Dead. Don has that staff so he could crush and sweep zombies from a further distance. So these two Turtles have reach that keeps them further away and they can both cause enough damage to a zombie. Don can also clear a path, if needed, sweeping zombie's legs or jamming the staff into a zombie's chest and shoving it into a group behind it. Mike's 'chucks have crushing power. I saw some special once where someone was testing the crushing power of a nunchuck on one of those computer-sensored dummies that records feedback to the computer. Those things are meant to cause damage if used correctly. Enough to stop a zombie? Probably not. Most zombies need to have trauma caused to the brain or spinal column. Either shoot the zombie in the head or destroy the brain with force. You would need to strike a zombie several times in the head with a 'chuck just to stop it from coming. Raphael is in a similar problem. He has sai which are both offensive or defensive weapons. They can also be used for stabbing however they have a really short reach. Even with the prongs on the sides, he could get them caught and unable to pull it back out. He also would have to almost go entirely bare-fisted into a fight with zombies, which is dangerous itself. I would conclude that Mike and Raph, if caught in a wave of zombies, wouldn't be able to fight out of it if it came down to it. Leo and Don have the best weapons for the job. They know stealth anyway so they shouldn't NEED to fight any zombies anyway. They could go on a more standard turtle diet but there will be a time the vegetation will die out. They should also be able to swim so they COULD get away from the island of NY too. Oh ya, and they are turtles which means they have shells. This means that a zombie would need to bite their arms, legs or head to infect them. As long as the era of TMNT can retreat into their shell, they are as safe as a pet turtle being attacked by a dog.

BRILLIANT! I am so surprised that I have not thought about the TMNT hiding in their shell. Thinking back now, the only time I remember the turtles hiding in the their shell when attacked was in the third movie to hide from the cannon. But that would probably work very well when being chased down by a horde of zombies.
