It be nice to get Northampton for atleast a half season or so.
If the show does well enough I hope they improve the budget.

You know, I don't even know if an issue is the budget itself or the way they use it. I mean, has anybody seen Beware the Batman? If you look at that show's version of Gotham City and compare it to TMNT's New York, you'll notice that TMNT's city--at least those blocks we regularly see--looks way nicer. However, it's also kind of obvious that the series can't maintain that: once an episode leaves those city blocks, the lair, or any other place we regularly see, there's a very noticeable dip in background quality, with some places, like the Kraang base in episode two, looking downright abstract. With Batman, however, everything seems more or less uniform, and it seems to have paid off with the ability to render a whole lot more things in a shorter amount of time, and thus tell a wider variety of stories. The budgets of both shows may indeed be considerably different, but one can tell that the creators also have different priorities, and they show.
So I guess the question is: would y'all have preferred things like a less detailed lair if it had meant a wider variety of locales/scenarios?

^ Yeah, if they didn't spend so much time in the lair.
Japan sounds cool, but I think it's a bigger possibility we will see Dimension X. |
