I sometimes wonder if it's bio mechanical meaning there's some kind of biology in involved in it, rather than it being totally mechanical. An android by definition is a robot designed to look and act like a human. There are times where his tentacles weren't even touching his controls, yet the body was moving and I also found it strange that they needed massive amounts of electricity to power it and make it alive. What, it doesn't have an ON switch or something? xD
Interesting thread. The android body sneezed in the episode Green with Jealousy. I actually didn't take much notice of the body when I was younger and it's only recently that I realised that it seemed to have a mind of its own. It was able to move on its own and take orders in Casey Jones: Outlaw Hero. I think the writers may have just wanted to give the body a personality so it didn't look lifeless all the time.

I always thought in some way, it was alive and it wasn't just a machine Krang controlled, it was his actual body. The process of him getting his body is strange. When it's complete, Krang is put in the stomach of the android and Shredder gives the body massive amounts of electricity. Apparently there was no ON switch and Krang couldn't just move it, because after the electricity, Krang didn't come back to his senses and regained his composure after a while. I wonder that by doing that, he became connected to his body more. Because whenever Krang struggled or looked angry or looked surprised, sometimes the android body would mimic those facial expressions. Or that whenever he moved his tentacles, even though he wasn't touching the controls, the body would move it's arms as well.

So really it literally is his new body.

You just didn't know what was up with that thing. I love stuff like that.
