I did, too. I really like when they show them at home like that. It gives a new dimension to the show, a little more emotion because people see them not just as ninjas fighting the bad guys. They see that they are a family and they do normal stuff like brush their teeth and hang their stockings up to dry.

Well, I mean, we already know all that, but it's still nice to see on-screen. Nice touch.

I thought this episode is one of those average episodes that actually is pretty enjoyable. Some things that we learned in this episode.

-April is living with the Turtles now. Wow, that lair must be really big to have a 6th ummmm person to be living there. I wonder how long she will be there. Oh and I found it funny how she and Splinter talked about shampoo. It was priceless.

-Mikey, gosh he is a pig. lol. Popcorn, ice cream, you name it. The dude can eat. And he gets all his exercise to burn those calories from all his training. I wish I could do that.

-Splinter likes Westerns? Too cool. Oh and Casey and April are starting to get a little close now. I'm liking that. Go Casey! Go Casey! Go! Go! Go Casey!!

-Don mentions the Utroms and how their technology is so great. I wonder if we will see them again soon. Or will the Turtles go to their home planet?

-Finally, the Ultimate Ninja battle was great. He was pretty cool but a cheat a lot of the times. He had no honor in my opinion, especially at the end. Leonardo now can be called the Ultimate Ninja Warrior now. *bows to Leonardo*

Overall, it was a pretty good episode. Nothing close that we had seen the past 3 weeks with Secret Origins but not bad. I just wish they showed a preview of Reflections, because that's the episode that takes place right after Secret Origins! Oh well. I give this episode an 8 out of 10.

Yeah, I thought this ep was alright too. Liked the homelife scene in the beginning. Totally reminded me of many of the fanfics I've read -- esp. when April and Splinter start discussing shampoo!

Anyone else think that Ultimate Ninja dude looked like something from Ultimate Muscle? That mask of his was soooo funky too.

this ep was one of the worst ones so far. the start was good since it showed us the tmnt outside of battle and adventure, something we haven't seen much of yet.

but the ninja guy looked ridiculous and the ep as a whole kinda sucked. i don't really like all this tournament style stuff. and the reason why splinter knew everything that was going on was because . . . (well, read the spoilers for future episodes, ie. The Big Brawl). i have a feeling the Big Brawl will be very similar to this episode, so i'm not looking forward to it that much. and for that reason alone, this shouldn't really be considered a filler ep.

Funny, when I first saw it I thought it was very 'Original Toon Shredder'. The purple cape and the tunic that extends down in the front.

I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet...

I was really shocked when they actually showed the young gunslinger get shot and die in the movie. Granted he could just be "wounded", but from the way most movies like that end, he shouldn't be getting up any time soon.

Also, did anyone notice the drivers of the semi truck Leo and the Ultimate Ninja fought on top of? Looked like another nod to Eastman and Laird to me.

Do ya think Konami is gonna make another tournament fighter game?

I hope we see him make the hover car! That was in the old cartoon and comic, they just have to have it in the new show!

I noticed the movie too and no the mask wasn't a nod to ultimate muscle. That is something that's actualy used quite commonly. I forget what it's supposed to be a mask of but I want to say orge or demon. Then again of course I would know X.x not only because of my past but because I play games like Clock Tower and Tenchu in which that same sort of mask is quite abundantly used.

Last words for Secret Origins. I enjoyed the trilogy alot it even explain more about Shredder. And the Utroms, Guardians, and Fugitoid are now safe and sound. It'll will be awhile until we will see Shredder again.

Any way on with this episode. This one was as had the same Leo type of battle from Shredder Strikes Back.

I was exspecting the Ninja to be something simalar to the guardians, but he looks more like an assasin than a ninja.

My favorite parts are;

Leo getting annoyed with April's clothes in the bathroom.

Splinter and April talking about grooming and shampoo. Surprise to see Splinter have a touch for cleaning.

Donny mention how neat the Utrom hoover pad was. I'm smelling a new TMNT vechile on the way.

I like the part when Leo saved the video and put it into the VCR. "It's Movie time".

I was expecting a Clint Eastwood movie but it was just a Western movie called "Rio Gotta".

I wasn't surprised to see Splinter liking the movie since it had a lesson in Dueling and honor.

Splinter also has a favorite ice cream flavor.

The battle between Leo and the ninja was more like one of Samari Duelist Movies.

Poor Raph had to watch his Brother get knock out. He's suffering from another Leo Emotion.

This episode was good and a dual episode. I can tell Splinter knows about this demision. I know we'll see that ninja later on.

I was really looking forward to Reflections, but watching this episode was like watching a sneak peek of a new movie.

So is this episode spose to be after Secret Origins or did someone mess up the line up schdule. I just think this tpe of thing would confuse someone by seeing a "meant to be next week" episode.

Anyway another great episode: 5 out of 5 stars. Great leonardo episode.

Actually there is. That's the Hover Sled that Casey and April escaped TCRI on, in Search for Splinter. So that's where it came from. So it makes perfect sense that they have it.

donny made the sewer slider. Its not so different from the hovercraft. this episode is what we (I) needed. I like eps like this after a long series of hard core episodes. The whole time i was thinking tengu. I was right. Who ever is courise how splinter knew what was going on check out ninjaturtles.com and look at the episode synopsis. Im not gonna say what it is cause i know its fun to make guesses. Did anyone notice they had real water when leo was hanging. They had actual water and when leo fell more it was animated. weird.

Pretty interesting episode. Leo is my personal favorite. That ultimate Ninja guy looked pretty goofy. I mean he could have looked better. Nevertheless, it was a good episode.

I was wondering what would it be like if Shredder was actually around during the Ultimate Ninja's visit to New York. In my Opinion I think Shredder would have won, although, it would be a tough battle.

I'm not sure if this episode is supose to be after Secret Origins or it was just a schdule goof.

The reflections episode which is "Return to North Hampton" I'm not sure if it will have any stuff that they didn't got a chance to use from the comics or movie.

I just hope this won't screw up the DVD line ups.

Yes... I've been noticing how much you could see eye color in this ep too. Splinter has brown eyes too.

As for the Ultimate Ninja's mask, I do suspect it is somehting from ancient Japan, since he and his father represent the goblin type Tengu. But the fact he also had purple hair and other clashing color's, it made the mask not fit in very well (which made him appear more like a UM wrestler rather than a fearsome tengu). The guy must be color blind!

I also noticed another thing, after watching Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. The villian in that movie also wore a knife claw that seemed similar to the one the Ninja Tengu wore in this ep. Except the one in the ep was 3 pronged, with hooked blades. Interesting.

I really enjoyed this episode especially the "Tengu" references. I can't wait for the pay off in "The Big Brawl". I also enjoyed the foreshadowing of "City At War" with the news reports of gang warfare. Finally I also liked the "homelife" scences. Splinter's fur never looked so good!
