Zarius2 your not going to change my opinion on lord dregg and Mung or Any of the red sky episodes those episodes reprisent a very special time in my life for me....I'm sorry but the sky got better the moment that sky turned red in my opinion and it wont change it's really a shame the show didn't stay for longer with the red sky I love every episode from the red sky series everyone from shredder, krang, bebop, rocksteady, to the rat king got more demented and better then they had been in years in this series
even if shredder and krang had become predictable. I think thats why dregg and mung were needed and I love the fact that they finally had continuing stories...everyone can hate it all they want because there secret loves shredder and k to rang are not there but I really enjoy change and a mutation is always welcome in my tmnt world.

Did I say I was TRYING to change your opinion?

I was merly stating my OWN opinion on the "Red Sky" seasons, that it was a failed experiment at the end of the seires to inject new life into it, if you thought it was a "Resounding sucess" noone is bloody stopping you from thinking that.

I personally think that Dregg was a good success.

Normally you are supposed to hate a villain. You dont love a villian. You want the heroes to rip their throats out.

So, in a ways, Dregg was very successful at getting some people to hate him...

I don't think I was as much into the Turtles at that point -- plus I can't remember what they were up against, but there was something else on at the same time and sadly the Turtles couldn't stop it. Maybe it was Batman? Batman ruled. But having watched these new eps with Dregg, gotta say I'm not much of a fan. I don't hate him in the ewww, nasty villain way (Machi ), but in the *yawn*, whatever kinda way. I'd much rather see SHREDDA AND KRANG. But I always like hearing Tony Jay's voice.

Also, does anyone think it's odd that the theme song still went, "When the evil Shredder attacks..." even though Shredder wasn't on the show anymore?

After seeing the bonus "Red Sky" episodes on the new dvd again for the first time in years it seems to me in all honestly that Dregg was a lot more meanacing than old School Shedder. The Turtles had to fight hard to beat him, and they couldn't goof around like they did with Shredder.

I agree with you on this one. Dregg is not a goofball like shredder and krang and is a serious and darker villian. I think they had dregg replace shredder and krang because they were not too serious since the series got a higher tone and made the show less cartoony.

Dregg seemed more evil also. How hard did they have to fight him? I never saw any of the other dregg episodes.

Dregg sucked, darker villain my ass, he had no no substance to him, the only noticible development they gave him was when he turned act INSANE during "Divide and Conquer"

Well, I don't want to be a typical Dregg basher. I think what I really didn't like about him was that there was really no "end" to Shredder.

In NM, even though DragonLord kinda flopped as a villian, at least they got rid of Saki. I know they banished him the toon, but haven't they done that a million times before, and he always came back. I don't think we had closure with Shredder, especially since he and Krang DID come back in the last seasons when Dregg was in full swing, but only as cameos basically.

I know that it was a show aimed for younger kids, but why couldn't they just have a nice simple death for shredder somehow. They wouldn't have had to cut off his head, the technodrome could have exploded or something.

I don't call Shredder and Krang's major roles in five episodes a "cameo", they were integral parts to the "Turtles to the Second Power" story arc, and if you consider the LENGTH of Season Ten, I'd say they were more "semi-regulars"
