Me too! When I was little and i got my first TMNT fig,I took it out of the package and the first thing i said was "Wait, swords aren't made from plastic." Ever since i've wanted to see figures with "real" weapons.

Yeah, I would think to myself..."They could make the mask, belt, pads and wristbands out of material, give the figure an articulated metalic skeletol structure and mold latex over it for the flesh, make the shell out of dence ceramic and attach it to the metalic spine and rib cage, and make the weapons out of the material that the real weapons are made of (this includes a sweet ballbaring function for the nunchaku)".

If they did, it would probably cost about $50 for an action figure; maybe even more.

Still...I can see myself bying one.

They make die cast blades and such for action figures. I forget the name of the store though. I remember seeing the link over at toymania.com so if you're interested you can always ask over there.

Thats a little too detailed for my liking. I mean these are modled off of cartoons and comic books do we really need a skeletal system. I mean IMO its a bit ridiculous. back on topic, I want Ultimate Ninja and Posse.

Figures of charcters from season 2:

-The entire Justice Force (I especially want Metalhead!)
-Karai
-That Triceraton slave dude (forgot his name)
-Mutating Leatherhead (I think that would be really cool)
-Mutating Baxter (If that piece of sh-- thing is what we're getting we should get another, better one in the future) Ultrom body with head mounted on the top- his four limbs snap into a position kinda like spider-legs and his head can snap backwards into the middle of his back, but his back is now facing upwards.... you know what I mean?
-Shredder with new armor and chest opens to reveal Shredder-trom

As for varients
-TMNT in trenchcoats and fedoras (classic)
-TMNT in samurai armor (Thats always cool, and they are going to Usagi's world right?)

Hopes for figures of characters that may appear in season 3:
-Rat King
-Complete Carnage
-Radical
-Savanti Romeo
-Renet

Oh and if you read the current comics you'll know what I'm talking about when I say:
-Fugitoid in battle mode.

Wingnut has a very good idea on the new figures, but as far as Playmates making them, if the demand is high enough....trust me, they WILL make those figures.

Plus, after seeing the Marvel toys Toy Biz is making, I would love to see Playmates (or Toy Biz) start a new line of figures with high detail, many points of articulation, and the body parts on scale with each other. I'm tired of Playmates making the same looking figures they made back in 1987; toy production has FAR advanced since due to Toy Biz and McFarlane making their figures as they are now, and Playmates needs to do the same with the Turtles.

Since this is new territory, I suggest they launch the new toy line up with 5 figures, the 4 Turtles and Shredder. I suggest the Turtles be 9" tall and Shredder to be 12" tall. All figures would come with a high amount of articulation for mulitple posing, and the limbs would be to scale, similar to Toy Biz's Marvel lineup (so they won't look all midgety). If this launch line up sells well, then it can be the permanent format for making toy figures.

P.S. for the people that may think my reply may be too long-winded.....simply put, I want a Turtle lineup made in identical format to the Marvel figures made by Toy Biz (especially the Shredder).

that's cool that you want turtle figures like those in fact allot of people do...but I for one don't and if playmates even though of going that way....I'd stop collecting turtle figures....because I'm sorry but some may think those figures look good but I like my figures to look good not like bulbus peices of crap with loose joints and huge joints that dont even look right on the figure.....the only thing I can perhaps say nice about this so called wonderfull marvel legends line is that they have given you guys allot of toys I thought would never see the light of day.
but once again I don't like those marvel figures infact I never have the old ones were even worse...if it came down to it I'd rather see some statue like mcfarlen figures over those tipsy over rated marvel figures...but perhaps thats because I like quility over action.

the waves now have 7 or 8 figures. Im thinkign a city at war wave would fit quite good.
1.Weasel
2.Mob Boss
3.Baxter stockman
4.Dragonface
5.Twoton
6.purple dragon thud( i was thinking the one with the mask)
7.Karai
8.Karai's footman 1
9.Karai's footman 2
that would be a fitting wave
another wave could be a turtles in space wave:
1.Triceriton prime leader
2.Traximus
3.Gruel
4.General Blanque
5.Lolane( the spy)
6.Federation trooper
7-10 real space tmnt!
another wave could be the justice force?
and to top it off, a mixed wave
1.Mr mortu
2.Garbageman
3.Harry
4.Navigator utroms (in one big pod)
5.Angel
6.scientist baxter
7.Dracco
8.Ultimate Ninja
9.Tengu
10. Saki, w/ mini shredder clone
How does that sound? Meet mostly everyone's needs?

Hmmm.... I'd rather see something like what's been done with street fighter than marvel legends. The new Street Fighter figures have enough articulation but it's more modest than marvel legends. Seems like toybiz wants to just put the # on the box to sell it now and they don't care where the articulation goes....

I would never buy tmnt if they went to McFarlene though.... I already have a Leonardo statue, I don't need another.

In my previous reply, I was stating what type of articluation I wanted for the figures, not really for another company to do them. But Ectocooler, you're on point about the new Street Fighter figures, they are indeed great, with detail and articulation. And it's time that the TMNT have figures that are just as detailed and articulate as that.

And to Putrescent, sorry to hear that, but I feel it's time for Playmates to get out of the 1980s and start making more comtemporary toys. You said that a lot of people wants these toys, in which proves there is a market for these figures. I suggested the five-figure launch (the turtles and Shredder) to test how deep the market is. If it's profitable enough, then Playmates can start a new line without necessarily abandoning the current lines. If not, then they can go back to the regular figures without taking a big risk.

Utrom skeletons with peel off human disguise (made of a strong latex or rubber material)

Now THAT will never happen unless they include another deluxe sub-line.

Even then I guess it's unrealistic.

Not really...ToyBiz has done some good work with that concept. Take a look at the Peter Parker/Spider-Man figure from the second wave of Movie 1 figures, or the latest wave of Spider-Man Classics. They make a Spidey figure, then include a latex (or rubber) hoodie and pair of sweat pants that slip over the molded Spidey figure. The result is very good, but there's no telling how long that material will last. Two years later, my movie figure is still fine, but the latex mask is starting to split just a little. Maybe that's why the Spidey Classics version included interchangable heads instead of a mask...

But then again, this IS Playmates. If they were to ever tackle the Oot/Disguise situation, they'd probably give us a non-articulated Oot endoskeleton, and a one-piece "shell" of a human disguise that would snap over it. I'm having a hard time describing it, but think about what the original Space Hoppin' turtles were supposed to be.

Does anyone remember the X1 Mystique figure? It came with the wolverine slip on body suit? That thing is terrible! For one, it doesn't "slip" on. For another, it just looks terrible when you have it on.
