Might lend credence to early speculation that the big-lipped turtle designs would be ugly and unappealing to children. Probably more so if they're watching and enjoying the Nick cartoon.

While we didn't get a massive outpouring of figures, it is pretty cool that we're ending the year with Rocksteady and Bebop! I just reviewed and took a few photos of Bebop here. I really like this guy. At first I liked Rocksteady better but I think I've come around to finding Bebop a bit better of an action figure (the wheels on his back are pretty rad).

Question, though: Has anyone else had Bebop's crotch separate on them? Mine did but nothing was broke and it easily snapped back together. Not a major issue as there was no breakage, but odd all the same.

Very true! I've also noticed that anytime there is "crotch separation" and "breakage" and "snapping back together", its usually an odd time.

yeah if you ever have crotch separation you really need to get that looked at. If left untreated it could be bad. Seriously though that is odd and hopefully it is not a design flaw of the figure though as i buy these for my sons to play with and they can be rough on them sometimes.

Anyone notice a variant bebop figure is available. The one I got is much more african warthoggian than the caucasian version on the back of the box

Yep, posts of this are a few pages back. I found mine when I ordered site to store at Walmart.

Cool. I prefer the darker skinned one since it seems odd a black man would mutate into a caucasian skinned warthog

Not really as many hogs are tan in color it's just like saying " its odd a white man would mutate into a grey Rhino"

Honestly, I don't recommend the TRU exclusive comic Leo and Mike.

You can probably find reprints of those comics for a more reasonable price.

Unless you want to keep a set MOC then maybe you'll prder the TRU exclusives

Yeah, they've pretty much been peg warming here too in Oz, every single store I go to has more of them than the nick series yet somehow the basic movie figures are a finalist for the 2015 Toy of the Year on the playmatestoys website.

The movie toys have been selling out by me. The Nick figures sell well too, but there's more stock. Except now with Christmas shopping I'm starting to see bare shelves again.

The movie figures pegwarmed like crazy here 'til December. Then they flew off shelves faster than the regular line.

I haven't experienced crotch seperation with any of the Nick TMNT figures; however, when I was a kid collecting the toy line in the 90's my April O' Neill did exactly as you described, it was able to be put back together.

I've finally gotten around to reviewing Rocksteady! Check him out here. I like him but his articulation feels very limited due to his v-crotch and swivel shoulders.

This weekend I was out Christmas shopping and I noticed pretty much all TMNT stuff gone from stores. The TRU nearest to me had a Baxter and two of the comic packs while my nearest Target only had Mikey and Squirrelanoid. It looks like Christmas caused all of the TMNT figures, movie included, to get snatched up.
