It was really difficult to tell what was in those cells in the Technodrome, I'm sure there were some cool easter eggs in there. They definitely set it up for a third movie, I bet Baxter Stockman is going to be the main villian along with Krang and whatever other creatures he has in that ice prison.

This movie is a long, CGI, live action version of a Fred Wolf cartoon, DO NOT kid yourself, even down to the sound effects. I swear it seemed like the sound editor for this movie had a "Best of Cartoon Sound Effects" playlist and just put them in scenes. One point Rocksteady's head breaks through the bottom of the airplane and I swear it makes a "BOINK!" sound. He then shakes his head and it makes a "WUGGA, WUGGA" like Wile Coyote just smacked his head against an anvil.

I really enjoyed the police station break in scene, I love a good music montage

and it's always cool to see Raph and Mikey working together. That being said I really felt like each Turtle got their fair share of screen time, more so than any other Turtle movie. Even Mikey and Donnie had good scenes where they were actually helpful and not just there.

Not sure if it's been mentioned at all but, on April's fake ID when they break into the Police station, her name is Renet Tilley.

I miss the days of blissful ignorance. I really wish I could like this film, but the days of comic book movies that have the ability to provide a decent plot and not become a jumbled mess have really spoiled me. I can actually trace it back to the 1990 TMNT film in fact.

Two times in this movie TCRI was just walked into by April and Vern. There was ZERO security when April just walks into the lab. I was like WHOA what?! If I missed something, please fill me in. And, sincerely, I'm glad you got what you wanted. My genuine hope is that all the folks who were desperate for a movie with Bebop and Rocksteady and Krang can be satisfied with that and won't feel the need to pine for it anymore.

The other thing I hope for is that we can move on afterwards. You all got your Fred Wolf movie, and by all accounts they crammed so much of it into this that it'll be hard to top on an '87 nostalgia level, so how about now we focus on getting a good movie next?

I dunno about you, but I care a hell of a lot more about a good movie with an actual story than I do watching Bebop and Rocksteady fart their way through sequel after sequel.

But no, I think it's all of our misfortune in the long run. TMNT has struggled for decades to get the same kind of respect and consideration that most other comic properties do, and a huge part of that is how much dumb, lazy cash-ins it became associated with the brand as "Turtlemania" dragged on. It's a series that has shown itself, before and long since, as being capable of telling truly good stories... but getting past the stigma of being "dumb baby stuff" was a massive hurdle. So when we have a major-release, much-hyped movie here, which even a great many (hell, maybe most) of the "positive" reviewers are calling mindless and mediocre, many inferring that they're going easy on it because it's marginally less terrible than the last? You remember the sad later years of Turtlemania. If you stop expecting any genuine quality, that is how bad it gets.
