If not and you're just talking about the exclusive 4-pack they are releasing then yes, that's from SOTO, the Playmates rep said so himself.

Anyway, I went back to the earlier photos of Playmates stand and saw the Super Shredder that was removed from there, there where a couple of figures also removed from there as well, and I guess I was right, the Super Ninjas are indeed Turtles, but not the Super Mutation kind like I was hoping, just another worthless variant and, surprise surprise, Donnie is missing again from it

no the exclusive 4 or 6 pack of turtles with 34 points of Articulation are going to be from this years TMNT movie Out of The Shadows not Secret of the ooze

In response to DevilSpooky, I'm positive I saw a super mutant Donatello on display. Some people in this thread jokingly called him Emo Donatello.

Maybe, got excited because he talked about them after being asked about the Krang and Shredder from the classic line so my mind imediately jumped to SOTO...

There is a 6 pack release of the 4 Turtles, with BB and RS.
It is marketed as Mutant Melee. The figures are the same as the individual releases, except the drone and skateboard accessory are not included.

I have yet to hear of any set of figures containg 30+ points of articulation in the 6" scale.

He meant 30+ points of articulation if you include all 6 figures in the calculation. Though 5+ points of articulation for a playmates figure would be on the high side these days...

Haha! Yes, I was going to add something like that.

However. The movie figures have up to 20 points of articulation.

Bebop:

1 - neck
2 - waist
3, 4 - shoulders vertical (x2)
5, 6 - shoulders horizontal (x2)
7, 8 - eldow vertical (x2)
9, 10 - elbow horizontal (x2)
11, 12 - wrist
13, 14 - hip vertical (x2)
15, 16 - hip horizontal (x2)
17, 18 - knee vertical (x2)
19, 20 - knee rotate (x2)

Rocksteady has similar articulation.

Horizontal and vertical aren't usually counted as separate things when articulation is counted, but these figures have a nice amount of it at 12 points.

Very nice, DVD. I only wish the paints were better on B&R, everything else looks good.

I'm afraid I have no firm idea of the price for the melee.
The best estimate I gave is $70.00

In that case it'd be cheaper to buy them individually.

I estimated incorrectly, basing prices on UK releases.
The 6 figure box set should retail at the equivalent cost, of Just less than 5 figures.

The movie studio's plan is to reveal the toyline at Wondercon next month, right before they hit shelves across the country.

Looks like it may be time to start hunting if they are starting to show up in stores now.

They started shipping a couple of weeks back. So stores should have them towards end of April.
So far I haven't come across any store specific exclusives.
The 6 fugure set is nice, in a cool (and big) box, but it does not contain the skateboard or drone. Unless they are seriously hidden, like the wing of the Fugitoid craft !!

I am pretty sure Playmates does count them. When I got the classic collection Mikey a year ago I showed my buddy and he saw the package had 34 pts of articulation listed which he doubted. So we counted them and that was the only way we got 34.

I'll be getting mostly everything from this line.
But I gotta say, Bebop having pink hair and not purple really bugs me.

Im not sure if its a lighting thing in the movie after post processing. If PM got on screen photo's that showed preprocessed colours, that could be where the pink came from.
Much the same argument over the TV Batmobile. The actual car had orange stripes, BEAUSE when processed, you got red. Or I could be totally wrong and they just screwed up.

I'd call it fuchsia. Personally, I've always liked when his look skewed that way.

You are correct the pinstripes were orange on the actual car and appeared red after processing. Kinda like a certain 12' scarf that has green stripes but looks brown on screen.
