A truckload of money would be fine by itself. No turtles necessary for me.

Heh heh.

Okay, showed the tape to my 17 year old anti-turtle-just-to-spite-me brother and he said it wasn't bad. He liked the shell cell scene, and he thought Mikey was funny, especially when Raph beat up on him.

And I was LOOKING for it this time. Not the intro, but the second time around with the Purple Dragons, where they actually fight, there are a lot more members standing there than get thrown in the pile. Including a female member. When I saw her picture on the foxbox site, I thought it might be Angel, Casey's friend, but since she's supposed to be trying to get into the gang when we first meet her, she wouldn't be in this fight. But I could be wrong.

But she's there, second from the left when they pan over the gang. Just felt like mentioning it, since it surprised me.

I found a nice nitpick

When Donatello tries to open the lock on the armored car hey broke it open, with wires hanging from it.

When the doors finally open the locks is completely undamaged
For the rest I have no complains

I bet this is all just a coincidence....they wouldn't make the show for older fans if they wanted to get to a second season or make some money.

Actually

Actually, My impression of many Laird interviews was that those responsible for the cartoon wanted to make the new cartoon cool enough to have little kids be interested and want to watch and buy toys...but also they realize that they still have a pretty large fan base of older fans/people and they wanted to cater to them too...(the proof of that is reading the forum)

The kind of show an adult who grew up with the turtles can watch with their littles ones now. (infact...there are those on this forum like that!!)

I think Eastman and Laird are fully aware of the audiance the show is being made for...and when a writer/creator is aware of the audiance the show/product is successful. I believe that is what is going on here.

So in that regard, props goes out to eastman and laird.

random thought

I had a random thought...

Has anyone ever noticed that it is always Raph who kicks three people at once? He does in turtles one, (I think) two and three...and now in the first eppisode of the new show...

Go Raph!

Thats excatly what they are doing. A show that is suitable for kids, but not written for them. Like Batman TAS for example.

is it really necessary to lock it? i mean, you could (and should) make a new thread for the next ep and unsticky this one, but is it really necessary to lock it? i mean, what if somebody sees the first episode for the first time in a couple of weeks for whatever reason and wants to post their opinion on it? or if somebody notices something else interesting about the first ep and wants to post it? i've noticed that www.he-man.org forums do this and it seems to work quite well.

not too big of a deal, but i think it'd be better off if it was unstickied but not locked.

Sounds like a plan to me. I think that unsticking should be enough.
