This could be a factor. Nick should run reruns of the show at 3 or 4 after school.

I think they're doing that now with Nicktoon.

Assuming if they only have cable or different type of satellite provider.

Now that is simply due to lack of promotion of the Friday night airing. The Sunday repeat is almost certain to have had a higher rating than that, but even if it's not *Say it's a 1.4 Sunday rating* if even half that audience are new viewers from Friday's airing, there's their 2.1-2.2 viewer rating they've been pulling for most of Season 2.

Wasn't this the number that the 2k3 toon was getting?

It's on the basic, cheapest AT&T U-verse package. Like Nick, Nicktoons, TeenNick, and Nick Jr. are (Cartoon Network is not!). And, as far as I can see, the Turtles are on a lot. And esp on the weekends, I can easily catch several random episodes between Nick and Nicktoons and I'm pretty sure I've caught it on Teen Nick, too.

Also, love U-verse.

"A Foot Too Big" is now the lowest-rated episode to date, with only 1.306 million viewers.

Did...Did Nickelodeon think the movie would promote the return of the series through osmosis or something? That's the only reason I can think of that they would make practically zero effort into promoting season 3.

I wonder the ratings are low because most kids go to bed at 8pm and adults would like to watch adult programmes. What else is on at 8pm in the US on fridays that could steel ratings from TMNT. Also I expect most people would be recording TMNT and watch it later.

Also whats sundays repeats like as no 1 been posting the ratings for that day.

Nick has been moving the show from Saturday mornings, to Sunday mornings, and now Friday evenings in hopes of boosting the viewership but nothing really seems to stick. (What shows have taken the previous slots of Nick TMNT? And how are they doing? ) We have yet to see where this new time slot is going to make the viewership numbers "level off", but at this rate it seems like every episode the viewership drops by around 0.1 million.

Depending on the reception of what new shows have taken its place on Saturday and Sunday mornings, it could be easier to determine if whether Nick wanted to genuinely find a good time slot for Nick TMNT, or if Nick is simply clearing the time slot for more popular shows.

Friday most people go out too for weekends and such.

I am excited they are on Friday, but if they made it more like a real primetime show like WEdenesday it would be perfect.

monday is for football for most people, tuesday could work i'm not sure what shows are on tuesday, wed would be good. thursday again is football, friday is a toss up.. last man standing also airs at 7pm with tim allen and i know a lot of people watch that show.

these 2 episodes that have aired are only for hardcore tmnt fans.. there has been no shredder or any popular villians, just random characters...

The show may be on the Friday night death slot, but typically that's used for adults where they can go out of the house. I don't know how applicable that term is when you are considering the demographic of children who typically stay up late that night, but stay home during that 8 PM to midnight window.

So are we going to get the Korra treatment here? When it becomes download only for whatever number of episodes they have left after the ratings are just too low? Or the Red Sky/Fast Forward treatment where the show goes through a radical alteration in hopes of saving it?

Let's see now, we have already had darker tone, dragon-powers, a trip to the future and adventures in the Digimon world. So what's next? Further mutations of the Turtles? A new supporting cast? Space opera? A trip back in time? Volume 4 adaptation? Making Casey the star of the show?

In all seriousness, there is a good reason Kids' shows typically don't really last long in the first place, kids' are fickle. There are exceptions to the rule that kids' shows not lasting than 2-3 years, both the 10 season long FW TMNT and the 7 season long 4kids TMNT are good examples of this, but you can't really expect most children to be interested in the same things for that long.

So you can't really expect this show to last as long just out of virtue of being a TMNT cartoon, it might still last long but if it won't, well just be happy that it's bound to have a fourth season regardless.

Guys the Nick show will surely last as long as 4kids did.

I expect 7 seasons and 150 episodes at the minimum.

Toy sales are doing well and the show succeeds not just because of ratings but also merch sales. Many cartoons were canceled because of the failure of the toyline and this show doesn't have that problem.

Remember Nick makes a profit from all the licensed toys.

You know, the idea that toy sales are more important than ratings has always kind of bugged me. If the toyline fails, fine, maybe it's a bit annoying of a reason but it where the funding is expected to come from, but the toy sales being more important than the ratings themselves? I don't buy it, if the toyline were to do far better than the show, why continue the show ? If it's not a big ratings draw, it's just bad for the network and an pointless expense for the toy company, just continue the toyline without the show in that case. If more people are buying the toys than those who are watching the show, then clearly the interest for the toys do not come from the show.

Also, I would like to see the numbers for the toy sales, this thread is all about numbers is it not?

I wondered if the ratings decline for the final season 2 episodes occurred because those episodes could be seen online before they aired on television.
