You guys are mirroring my sentiments exactly. I love the basics too, but I would snatch up a TV accurate set without a second thought. Likewise, it baffles me that they gave them TV feet but left the basic heads. It would have been nice for them to just put the Ooze heads on there so I don't have to go to the trouble myself. I just hope you're right about them being storage shells instead of awkward retcons to the basics.

i don't really want to buy the ooze turtles just for the heads but i really like the way they look switched...

I honestly just popped them off with my hands. Donnie and Leo didn't fit quite right so I dremmelled into their heads a bit to make some room for the thicker neck peg.

From interviews it sounds like he will be in the show.

I would not mind toy exclusive charaters either, but so far the Nick show has been very fast about introducing new charaters... I would like Playmates to focus on those first, and then if they run out, they can make some of their own! But hopefully they are designed in consort with the Nick team so that they fit in well (and who knows, Nick could use them in future episodes if they chose)

I finally made it down to the TRU that's closest to me and found the mutagen ooze and the patrol buggies. I only bought three ooze containers because it was hard to see through the other ones of which turtle was in them. I decided to only pick up one of the buggies too because I figure that they will be $15 or so at wal mart compared to the $19.99 price at TRU. I had 18 rewards dollars so that is also why I made the trip! It was well worth it!

Congrat's on the score. Look at the bottom of the ooze canister's. They end in A, B, C, or D

A = Leo
B = Don
C = Mike
D = Raph

Don't even get me started on the markup they have on the Sewer Playset which is supposed to be $99... they are charging $149.99
