Rooish, they're brothers. Just because they can get competitive doesn't mean Raph has to act like an obnoxious bully all the time. Raph loves Leo very much, but he likes to be better than him. Besides, there was Leo and Raph conflict in "Never Say Xever." Raph gets angry at Leo for letting that guy go. So, don't worry. I know that sibling rivalry is still there. They don't completely get along anyway. But that doesn't mean Raph has to be mean to Leo all the time. That would just make me hate Raph's behavior more. Right now, I'm satisfied that he is a hothead, but also the wisecrack making sarcastic comments.

The actual fight between them was pretty sweet, but the same tired story of them butting heads was blah. And could have been easily diffused by Splinter... if the writer's had the slightest grip on any character other than Donatello.

I'd love to see Don and Leo butt heads like in the IDW comics.

I love it in the comics because it's logical Don vs. the same pompous Leonardo, but I can't see their Nick counterparts having a serious standoff. This Leo's too likeable. Nick Don and Raph, however... I could totally see that.

Yeah, I'm also a fan of Nick Don and Raph arguing. Team them up every once in a while.

Yeah Don and Raph art truly too opposite individuals. Tough guy vs. Tech nerd.

Part of me wonders if the antagonism between Raph and Donnie is a subtle nod to the fact that Rob used to BE Raph.

Oh God! I don't want to see that! Heck, let that say only in the IDW comics. Someone who is logical or spiritual don't really have to clash at one another when they disagree. That's why we have Leo and Raph. Don is not the kind of guy to start a fight. I hate Don in those comics. He just comes off more pompus than Leo.

Sorry. Can we actually have them stay in character, please? Besides, we see Leo yelling at Don about the bomb the Kraang built in "The Gauntlet." At this point, that's a "Leo and Don butting heads" moment. Plus, Leo is almost equal to Donnie. I don't see why it's a problem to have him butt heads with Raph. It makes sense, especially since Raph doesn't care.

But seriously. Do you want Don to butt heads with Leo to prove he's better? That's not who he is. That's out of character. They're both good equally. There is no one winner here. Face it, I'm happy with what we have now.

I love Leo and Raph's bromance in the nick show. If you want them butting heads in the most inopportune times, just watch 2K3.

I'd rather see Raph and Don sniping at each other. For reasons.

Have you seen Science vs. Religion arguments? Leo and Don butting heads makes sense...in the IDW comic. In the Nick series Leo isn't shown as deeply spiritual, so that dynamic wouldn't work. To be honest, I'm surprised that the dichotomy was never explored BEFORE Tom made it part of his interpretation of the Turtles. Raph and Leo butt heads because they are both alpha males, Donnie and Leo butt heads because they have 2 different world views. Both make sense in character. it's not about being better, it's about being different.

That doesn't matter, Jester. I feel people with different beliefs may have some friction, but that doesn't mean they can't get along. Who says they can't agree to disagree? That's my point. Not everybody who's spiritual or analytical have to snipe at each other. That's just nasty. I feel Leo and Don could have their moments, but I feel they should just respect each other's opinion. Donnie is not Raph, and I feel he's been made into that in the beginning of the IDW comics.

Now, if we want to see Leo and Don butt heads in this show, it should be about Space Heroes. That would be so funny. "Captain Ryan is better!" "Mindstrong's better!" "Ryan has hair!" "Mindstrong has purple skin!" "Captain Ryan's smart!" "Mindstrong is smarter!"

While that would be hilarious, I don't see that happening because Don isn't a Space Heroes fan like Leo is. I don't think he even pays attention to it at all. Now, some conflict between Leo and Raph over Space Heroes (which we have seen already) would work. Or maybe some conflict between Mikey and Leo over the show, though I don't think Mikey pays attention to it either.

I don't know about that BubblyShell. I mean, you do know Don has a poster of Space Heroes 3 on the back of his chart in "Monkey Brains." He must be a fan of it. The reason why he's not watching it a lot is because either he's not that interested in it, he's busy inventing stuff, or he watches it online when no one is looking (especially Raph). Plus, what if gives the excuse, "Why are you watching that now? We have them on DVD." Unless, maybe they don't have them on DVD . . . yet.

Incorrect. The poster was on the other side of the board he pinned his chart to. For all we know Leo put the poster there.

We don't yet know if any of the others are fans of the show. Raph definitely isn't, but Mikey and Don are still unknowns. We did see Mikey watching it once though. Doesn't necessarily make him a fan, as he could have been watching to spend time with his brother Leo. That...or he spaced out in-front of the TV and Leo changed channels while Mikey wasn't paying attention, lol...

That said, no matter if they are or aren't fans, I want to see figures of all four of them dressed up as Space Heroes characters. They could be Captain Leo, Commander Raph, Dr. Donny, and....Ensign Mikey?

Yeah, I don't think Don's a fan. Mikey might be a fan, though not as obsessed as Leo is. And we all know Raph pretends not to like it, but I think he secretly does as evidenced by quoting the show to Leo.

I agree with this, I don't like how Leo and Raph are always portrayed as "so much better" than Mike and Don.

They were just teamed up in the episode panic in the sewers (for a little while anyway). I would also like to see them team up more often.

Leo and Raph have ALWAYS Been better than Mike and Don, why is this a problem now? It's just a realistic aspect of TMNT. Some students are better than others, in this case Leo and Raph have always been the better duo in the TMNT Mythos.

I really like the premise of the next episode. They are actually focusing on other themes, previous incarnations have missed!

My favourite Turtles have always been Leonardo & Donatello. Because I just love their relationship and how they interact with each other. I always like the fact that Leo wasn't a smart-ass, as that was more of Donnys turf and I just love how that plays off in the dialogue between the 2.

One good example is in 'Panic in Sewers' where Donatello tells Leo the chlourosulfonicacid reacts violently with water. You can tell Leo would've never known that and appreciates Donatello's intelligence. If it was Raph in that situation, he would just butt heads with him and Mike would just ignore him.

I dunna....depending on the branch of the TMNT Mythos, Raph and Donnie are paired up quite a bit. Seemed like every time there was a story in the Archie books where the Turtles split into teams of 2, it was Raph and Donnie and Leo and Mikey. Even the Fred Wolf series started doing it late in the game.

And to be honest, I never saw Leo and Raph as BETTER. It's been said countless times Mikey has the most raw potential, but little motivation. If Mikey was more focused, he'd probably be the best of the team. Heck, 4Kids Mikey, as much as I loathe him, used his knowledge of Raph to his advantage, egging him on so Raph essentially defeated HIMSELF in the Battle Nexus Tournament. Sometimes being better isn't about skill, but knowing your opponent's strengths and weaknesses.

Saw this from tumblr.

And even w/o that pic, the show aired enough episodes to show off Mikey's spontaneous fight scenes. He's the Turtle I actually look forward to in said scenes.
