I'm really beginging to think we're making to big a deal out of what Shredder might be. Chances are its far more simple than it appears.
Him being a demon or ghost is to mucg like Shaman King so I dought it'll happen
Ultom- looking back it seems almost to set up to be true
Clone- to abvious
Ducked head- to much of a cheat

Watch it be something so simple it'll make us slap our selves at the obviousness of it all.

I'll admit the preceding Shaman King episode (Which featured a Jiang-Si), may have influenced my thinking a bit, but when I hear sombody talk about being hundreds of years in the past, then survive a decapitaion, pick up his head and walk away, my first instinct is invarably "He's some kind of ghost!!"

Well, the SIMPLEST solution would probably be that is armor (potentially magical extended his life-span and kept him from dying when his head got cut off. But, that'd be such a cop-out!

I still say, Ghost, Jiang-Si, or some other kind of "undead"

Something simple? How about that wasn't even Shredder but a robot?

Employing a robot double to take the fall for him? Well, it was cool when Quincy from Bubblegum Crisis did it, but Quincy was just an evil Tycoon. Shredder is also a Ninja, and it would kind of suck if he didn't do his own fighting. Better than him being an Utrom though.

One thing that would have proof about him not being a Utrom:

1. if he's a Utrom then he wouldn't talk regular like the 3 concil Utrom members.

2. If he's a brain in a body humannoid suit with Martial Arts, that a pretty relastic human body for a Utrom.

I agree with Clone, Tengsu, & the Un dead threoy.

The odds of him being a Utrom is a 1000 to 1.

Just a few things that made it seem to me like there is the possibility of him being a utrom.

A) He claimed to have used the sword to take over ancient Japan, and if you look at the summaries for season 2 it says that the utroms landed in ancient Japan.

B) He knows a lot about the utroms, as do they about him

C) Both Shredder and the utroms claim to have the other as their 'ancient enemy'

My guess is that if he is a utrom he split away from the rest of them, turned into the Shredder, and became an enemy of the utroms.

I'm still sticking with the "Not an Utrom" Theory. I'm saying he was a Ninja in Ancient Japan, who stumbled upon the Utroms and Formed an Alliance with them... realizing what powers could be gained by doing so. After getting what he wanted, He split apart from them possibly after trying to destroy them.. They're fight probably has lasted all these years, and maybe just now th utroms have found him again after losing him for several years.

according to season 2.....the secret origin of the TMNT will be revealed. If I remember correctly, Shredder has something to do with the origin.

One of the Season 2 episodes might have Shredder's new place to plot his plans. And yes the Secret Origin episodes will explain everything.

It'll be a matter of time till he'll strike again.

I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.
