Someone needs to test the Ryu trick out in X and see if it works...

I only ever managed to get it once, but man was it fun. X doing haduken... heheh.

Yep. Even though it was USELESS against the final form of Sigma.

They should've made the darn fireball bigger...

I remember, that if the charge shot was too big, it woulden't do any damage anyway... So you'd might as well have fun hittin him with haduken blasts .

Which is why I never beat Sigma. ;_;.

The Hadoken worked on Sigma, it was just nearly impossible to pull off. Anyway, I really hate the SNES version of X1. I don't know how you people stand that god awful music in that version. I always stick with the PC version even if I do have to enter a code to get the Hadoken. Can't wait to buy X Collection so I can unlock Battle and Chase. I have no intention of playing the other games on it since I have them all. Also, the NES remakes on AC were all grainy and crappy looking in my copy so that doesn't encourage me to play X Collection much.

What's the differences, anyway?

On another matter, am I the only one here who thinks Mega Man should learn how to duck?

He can duck in the later X games.....

Anyways, I'm having a hell of a time pulling off the haduken. I could rip that at any time on SNES, but I can't seem to get it right on this one.

Everything, it sounds horrible. The PC version's music is 1000 times better. One of my biggest disappointments was Storm Eagle's stage. The PC version of it is so good and then I heard the SNES version and was like what the hell is this crap? It's unfortunate that the PC version runs extremely poorly on newer computers. Still, I have my old Pentium 1 to play it on.

Which is ironic... seeing as the music was originally for the SNES.

Are the tracks like redone, or are you saying it's the same stuff, it just sounds better?

The PC version is pretty much remixed music which sounds 1000 times better. Some parts of the music have some changes though. The 1st Sigma stage music sounds almost completely different to me in the SNES version.

I love playing Megaman! Even on the 8 bit Nintendo back in the day. The new collection sounds great but commerical. Oh gez, that mom & that fat kid are the uglest ..butt ugly people I ever met. That fat kid needs to run a few dozen laps and get involded in an outdoor activity instead of running around like a dork on caffine playing Megaman.

Well, yeah. Of course it's commercial. This is the Videogame Industry we're talking about...

Anyway.

Picked this sucker up last night with a shiney new 1019 memory card (sweet jebus, the storage! I'd filled up a 251 and a 51, plus the other 51 that has my first Animal Crossing town. </end rant>.)

This is great. The games are just how I remember them. The only one I don't care for is MMX5. Now I remember why I wasn't upset when I found out my dad sold that game . X2 is just as hard as I remember, and X is just as simple as I remember..

Now if only I could remember which bosses are weak to which attacks >_<.

My only complaint is that is that, for the first time ever, the GCN controller is uncomfortable. The Dpad is too small for this game, and the Hori SNES-like controlers are a pain in the butt to find anymore. Other then the Dpad, the controller works great. I've got shoot on Y, jump on A and dash on X. I can hold down Y, and still hit both A and X at the same time. Schweet.

Still, if anyone knows of a place that still has the Hori controllers in stock, I'd be your best friend for EVAR!

X2 hard? Since when? X2 is by far the easiest of the 6. I did the no armor challenge in it successfully. Only boss I had trouble with was Violen. And yes, the gamecube controller is really not good for X games. I also don't understand how you could not like X5 and say X6 even respectable. X5 wasn't that great but at least it wasn't as horrible as X6.

I actually like X6 more than X5. I also find X2 to be slightly difficult for some reason. I don't know what it is. It's just something that stuck with me as a kid and I can't shake it. There's just something about Wheel Gator that strikes me with a large amount of fear. I mean it too. Whenever I play that bastard my hands get all sweaty and I can't concentrate.
