All the voices were ok, but i wish splinters was different. I like dons the best, it real good. Huns voice is cool too. You guys don't like any of them because your used to the old voices(me too, I like the old better). But I think theyll be ok.

Well, I've finally have had a chance to listen to the voices and...

And give them my official seal of approval. Yeah, they're good. Though I don't know why a lot of you don't like Splinter, I actually think he's one of the best.

Nope don't like 'em, but they'll probably grow on me eventually. They'll be better when you see the characters actually talking, moving, etc. I think...

This is just what I speculated few weeks back. Most people miss either the voices of the Old toon or movies, and doesn't even want to givea chance to these voices. I the decided that even if I didn't like th new voices, I wouldn't compain, but learn to like them. But now it seems that it isn't neccessary, I like the new voices already.

Aagh! I didn't see this thread! Bah.

Don-Sounds like a higher pitched version of Donny from the second movie. This is fine, cause I always preferred that Donny to the Corey Feldman one.

Leo-Simple, casual, it fits. Maybe I'm not the best judge: I never liked Leo to begin with.

Mikey-Already heard him on the Fox Box this morn. He sounds like a slightly older version of the original cartoon Mike. Very fitting, as always.

Raph-WEE! Sounds perfect, more akin to his film voice than the "Mighty Max" original. Indeed, all four turtles sound quite a bit like their movie counterparts... intentional?

Splinter-He sounds almost EXACTLY like the movie Splint. I guess they're trying to mimick that voice style because it's the closest we've gotten to a Mirage adaption previously? *shrug*

April-Well.. she doesn't sound like Ash, at any rate. Otherwise, yeah, it needs work. Perhaps further experience will give me a better idea.

Casey-Is that.... Kid Muscle? If so, he's doing a better job here than he is on Ultimate Muscle at any rate.

Shredder-Oooh yeah. Sounds almost like Megatron from Beast Wars. I think Karpo and all can finally stop worrying-we finally have a Shred that will meet the honour of the original Mirage one (who I really don't see all the jazz about, honestly)

Hun-Hmm. He sounds intelligent. I feared that he'd follow the "Bigger they are, dumber they are" theory that every cartoon in existance follows, but this seems to not be the case.

Baxter-*sigh* I'm going to miss the "buzz" in this guy's voice. Still, the voice fits the images we found, although it could use some work. I guess I'm too used to Mistah Fly (and you Mirage-happy people can NEVER take that away from me! BWAHAHAAHAHAHA!)

Don, Leo, Mike: All okay.
Raph: Dont' like the clip itself... Wouldn't mind another one to hear a little bit more of how he talks...
Splinter: Hmmm... Not great (I love him in the first movie, minus the whole sounding old and weak), but somewhat okay.
April: Good!
Casey: Go Casey! Not really what I would expect him to sound, but nothing really wrong with him.
Shredder: *drool* Honestly, I can't understand anyone who doesn't love this one
Hun: Ooo, sounds big. A little like James Earl Jones...
Baxter: A little to formal. I want him madder I say! Maaaadder!

Yeah, It seems that This new Shredder will Be Ok. But I think that the best Shredder on screen was the guy in the First Movie.

I'm not at all worried about who they picked, as I'm sure they wouldn't be that left-field in picking what suits each character. I think they all sound okay. The clips did sound as it they are the tryout clips, with too much emphasis than normal.

Don's voice threw me for a loop too. He didn't have a hint of geeky nasalness like he used to before. In fact, I thought he kinda sounded like Michael J Fox (when he was younger)! I no like that....

Raph's okay, maybe a bit too deep... but as I had wondered in the movie, why does his voice sound so much like a New Yorker's, but none of the others did? If they all had a hint of the accent, it would have made more sense. (Goes back to her theory that Raph listened to the people on the streets more, while the only Turtles heard the cleaner accents from those on
TV)

Leo, on the other hand, I love what his VA has done for him! It sounds perfect to my ears: not too whiney, and not too deep. *doesn't know what is wrong with everyone else here*

Mikey's sounds like Mikey too, especially after his stint on the Fake News. That really sounded like what we're used too. Like a cross of movie
with the cartoon verison.

The other characters sound suiting too. Even Shredder's sounds better
that the other in the intro clip. (I assume he was in his robot mode then)

I'm also excited to see the whole intro with theme song on the TV this morning too! Which was well worth having to endure the tackiness of Ultraman Tiga...

The thing I'm worried about right now is Splinter...
everything we've seen of him indicates a preety lousy version of splinter with a bad voice and that looks kind of like a grey weasel!! And hes my all time favorite TMNT character
oh well.....

BITCH BITCH BITCH. Some people need to get over things. There's a lot worse things going on in the world right now and a voice actor not sounding what you wanted to is pretty insignificant if you think about it. The recordings are done. Accept it and get over it for Christ's sake. I'm sick of hearing this negative crap all the time. Just enjoy what you have geez.

Yeah right. I forgot there's ppl here with Phd's on Australian accents. *sigh* Maybe you've been listening to too many Americans *trying* to talk in an Aussie accent.

And for ppl complaining about the site being slow, I've noticed a lot of ppl here direct linking their av's from the offical site. Add 10 ppl viewing the same page on the official site and another 10 reading this forum, it'll slow things down a bit. So ask someone who can host it for you.

Amanda (who needs a freakin' soapbox?)

I guess i could host them.. And hey, most people have said they like the new voices. And I agree, there is no point in complaining them, you just need to learn to live with them. I personally think that all new voices sound good.

Hey chill Amanda, yeah complaining isn't going to get anywhere. And problems with voice actors are way, way below all the crisises of the world on my list. But these are just people saying what they think, sometimes in a less coherient and angry way. I certainly doin't agree with a lot of them either, and I think we should wait for the show to come out before we judge it.
And yes, for all of you who are getting your avatars off the official site, that is illegal and you are jamming up the server, get Krang to host your avatars if you want.

Just listened to the voice overs. They aren't THAT bad. I agree, it's a change, but it'll have to do. Oh and is it just me or does Raphael kinda sound like Rocksteady?

Well if you saw the old toon episode Teenager from Dimension X, and listen to Rocksteady, and then listen to Raph, they sound almost alike.

Amandatello....I do realize there are more things to complain about, and for better reasons too, but this is a TMNT chat...so if you don't want to hear people's opinions, don't bother checking out the thread.....Quite frankly, I was surprised you came here expecting no one to say something bad about this...

About the Michelangelo comment...I do not have anything against aussies really...except for maybe Steve Irwin (but that's besides the fact)....I said that because Michelangelo simply isn't an Australian, at least as far as I know...you may know somehting else Anyway, I don't think you'd like his voice if they decided to make him have a Spanish accent or something.
