Nobody seems to care that a green guy in a suit is coming to a museum...

Gotta Love the 80s Toon

that's nothing. How about Superman being Clark Kent when all he is wearing is glasses with his hair is slicked back in civilian form.

Or Usagi/Sereana looks the same as Sailor moon in civilian form except her school uniform shrunk and she's wearing a tiara...but mystically no one reconsies her, not even her family. It's cartoon thing.

I got one, how about in the Gangs All here when Michelangelo turns human and the turtles know what he would look like as a human to pick him out on the street. Sure it was the wrong guy, but the dude they picked out looked an awful lot like what human Michelangelo did looked liked.

Not to mention all the times in this episode where Mike is changing back and forth into human and turtle form and various articles of his clothing disappears and reappears.

Or how about the fact in that in that same episode Mikey can't skate board cuz he lost his "ninja powers". WTF? I didn't think attaining acrobatic skills through years of training had anything to do with "powers" but whatevs.

exactly. That was a serious WTF moment, suddenly the turtles being mutants gives them powers since when? Even though this episodes featured my fav turtle of them all, that episode was whacked for many reasons.

God I love the old toon sometimes.
It's "Splinter No More" from season 2 (198.

Am I the only one who remembers the Cur-Ly Maneuver?? I wish I could forget.

How about the Unidentified Flying Elvises?

And, do you recall "SHREDDER'S MOM"? OMG! WTF? Everyone knows Shredders can't have moms. How absurd can you get?

Oh! And, since no one else noticed: Casey applied for a job at Octopus Inc IN HIS MASK!! The kicker was that he actually got the job. XD

'Twas "MICHELANGELO'S BIRTHDAY". Actually, Splinter just dropped some wisdom about the power of suggestion, not a 4th wall-busting joke. That's Raph's job. It would have been funnier in that super cheesey fashion we had all come to expect by then, but it didn't happen, sir.

Um... dude.... ALL cartoons do that....
Doesn't make it any less absurd. At least 2K3 gave them a change of wardrobe more than just once in a blue moon. But, methinks her point was just to point out the most trivial of absurdities in the show. When were her joking priveleges revoked? I missed that.

Because they look like the underground-dwelling humans in Beneath The Planet Of The Apes perhaps?

I've always thought Baxter's "arm gun" was pretty silly but awesome when it ties up that nerdy dude in "Curse of the Evil Eye".

Leo's swords and Don's bo constantly getting destroyed in Season 5 and beyond was definitely ridiculous.

Leonardo vs. Tempestra: The turtles (sans the leader) beat the holy sh*t out of a stuffed dummy that's supposed be Shredder, thinking that it's really him.

Thanks. That character was the most ridiculous character ever to appear in the franchise.

I agree, but it was season 3 with a lot of episodes. Some of them were silly, some rocked.

Ever since I learned how Oroku is supposed to be Shredder's family name, it annoys me that his brother is Kazuo Saki.
