Very cool, man. Saw this on ebay and I almost bid on it. Bode is simply not someone we see often enough. Congrats!

Very Cool. And I'm sure without knowing anything about what you payed, you payed less than his going rate for a commission lol.

Thanks! I got it for a fraction of what he would've charged

two new OA additions. these are from 1988. i have always liked Dr. Dome and the Domeoids. i'm extremely happy to add these to my collection

a double page spread from vol 1 #15 aprox 18x22

and an interior page from the same issue

OA · 10-18-2012, 09:01 PM

Woo! Very cool pages there. Hadn't seen these ones before. Issue #15 was the first issue I was ever able to get "early" art from. I loved Pete's solo work. Big congrats!

*TheCanadiandrome* · 10-18-2012, 11:09 PM

Wow nice additions

thanks guys. yeah, i dig pete's solo issues too. hope to get a page from #12someday too.

i find it fascinating that the paper used for #15 was a thinner type of paper, not the usual duoshade mirage typically used.

Yep, I actually wasn't much a fan of the paper, though I did like the size...

HotJuicyBurgers · 10-19-2012, 10:42 AM

Woah. Those are awesome! Where'd You get them from if you don't mind me asking?

Scotty TuffGuy1979 · 10-20-2012, 05:13 PM

*Plasticplayhouse* · 10-26-2012, 01:29 PM

thanks guys! had some more GPK's done

*Plasticplayhouse* · 11-07-2012, 10:59 AM

picked up this fun little painting the other day. it was done in the spirit of Halloween by Christopher Tupa, the same artist who does my GPK cards.

Turtle Soup

*Plasticplayhouse* · 12-17-2012, 05:27 AM

The other day I had the great fortune/privilege/honor/(insert commending word here) of meeting Jim Lawson and Peter Laird. We got to converse for a bit which was super cool, the highlight of my comic experience really. Both Jim and Pete are super cool guys. It is remarkable just how great and down to earth the Mirage guys are. They truly are grade A quality people. I got to see lots of original art too which was so awesome, I felt like a kid in a candy shop! My son was with me and he was excited too. He's been a turtle fan of the OT and now the nick show, but we've also read some of the comics together too, so he is fully aware of who most of the artists are. The guys were kind enough to draw a couple of sketches for us. As if meeting these guys wasn’t rare enough, Pete even drew me a sketch that was more in depth than he usually does! Words can't explain how appreciative I was for this day

My son's current favorite character is slash. Jim hooked him up nice!

Great adds, those new pieces of art you picked up are amazing.
