Again, I feel bad for Xever. For all we know, Shredder could have just kept him as a weird-ass pet, swimming around the Foot Moat or whatever. It sucks his mutation basically made him as helpless as a real fish.

I think you need to watch the end of The Gauntlet.

I guess you guys are right, it's just that at the end when Shredder was talking to Dogpound, Dogpound just like, towers over Shredder, and I could imagine him just crushing Shredder with ease. You guys are probably right though, Shredder would beat him, I guess his size just seemed overwhelming to me.

Good episode. I liked it.

Is Ichiban a reference to something? Leonardo is "Leo Ichiban Turtle" in April's phone.

Today's episode was pretty good I like how April's growing into her ninja role. The go karts were cool and Raph doing the Space Heroes quote was funny!

Overall, good episode. 7.5/10

Ichiban is Japanese for "first", so i guess it could mean he's the leader and the oldest?

Man toonzone is tearing this episode apart in their review thread. They're losing interest in the show due to the amount of mutants.

I admit the excessive mutants are getting tiring, and we still have Leatherhead coming 2 episodes from now who is huge like Dogpound and aquatic like Fishface.

I really hope they lay low with the mutants after this.

Ichiban is usually used to mean "best", so...

Who cares what they think? And why are you so negative all the time? Might be time for me to use that ignore feature. All you do is repeat the same thing over and over about the mutant count in the show.

Are you reading the same post I am? The guy said he dislikes the mutated direction of Bradford and Xever as well as some of the other mutants.

I can see why casuals would find it repetitive. Literally every human we're introduced to winds up becoming a mutant. Hopefully Baxter stays human a while longer.

Ah... you shouldn't give in so easily.

Dog Pound is probably stronger than Shredder by the fact that he's a giant mutant dog man.

Its just that he's so loyal to him in such a way that he's submits to his will...that and Shredder is a crime lord.

I see it as this, you hurt Shredder or bump him off, and you don't know what kind of crazy guys are going to come after you.

Thought it was an alright epsiode.

Love to see leo do his leader thing and seeing how April is ever so crafty and guile.

Loved Splinter at the end how he admits his concerned.

Splinter is awesome.

Dog Pound turned out well too.

I enjoyed seeing Bradford as this hulking mutant, that the Turtles barely defeated if not for mental ingenuity.

I only wish we got to see Shredder come to terms with Bradford and Xever's new forms as well as how they are adjusting. Bradford didn't seem to be complaining, so is he the first post-mutant that doesn't blame the Turtles and readily accepts his mutation?

I guess I missed Xever in the background. I didn't see him at all. I'll have to watch again.

Not only should you blokes not care what anyone else thinks, you definitely shouldn't care what a random fanforum that nobody's paid attention to in years thinks.

That's what I've always found fascinating about the fandom, as it seems really divided on mutants, whether there should be any others besides the Turtles and Splinter, or others, as myself, who seem to love more.

I remember ten years ago, I was barely sixteen, and so many members hated the "over saturation of mutants on the OT" which I could never understand because in my mind, who doesn't want more mutants?

Personally, I love the route they are taking with this show. My only complaint is some of the designs (SpiderBytez) and the lack of development (Rockwell, Pigeon Pete) As long as the writers don't drop characters and plot points such as Snakeweed, Rockwell and Pete I have no reason to fear more mutants. Isn't the Kraang still trying to perfect the Mutagen, so I don't see the writers dropping the "more mutants" angle anytime soon.

I've really enjoyed getting to know Bradford and Xever before they were mutated, it reminded me how the writers handled Eddie Brock/Venom in the 90's Spider-Man cartoon.

This incarnation has really impressed me with how it's dealt with arcs, characters and plots, the writers seem to have a plan and I can't wait to meet new characters as well as old favorites re imagined.
