I just can't wait til it's all over for another year. But on the bright side, I'm just looking forward to the usual Christmas dinner with family. Always love that. Sometimes don't see em all year, so it's nice to get together

likewise! this is such a wonderful time to get the entire family together - this year is extra special, as my cousin had a new baby and my grandmother has been doing well, possibly well enough to come to my aunt's for the party

Very cool MC! Grats!

Yeah my Grandma, Dad's Mom, is going to be 96 on the 14th, and we're heading out to the farm to spend Christmas with her, so it'll be Dad, Mom, me and my Uncle. It's going to be sweet.

Well, I have a feeling my Christmas will be crap because Grandpa won't be able to come due to his illness. It just keeps getting worse for him. But at least he got to come last year, so that's something.

Good for them. I just don't need them trying to shove their believes down my throat

Oh yeah. Calmly knocking on the door and politely leaving when you ask them to. Really shoving their 'believes' down your throat.

Well, it depends. The ones who usually come to my door never really stick around. They hand you a piece of paper and then leave. Sometimes, if you don't answer the door, they'll just leave the paper and leave. That's what happened last year. I'm not saying there aren't those who will persist about it, but if you just ignore them, they won't bother you.

Really? I've never been visited by Mormons. I guess they don't come out my way, which is a good thing.

Okay, time for a funny story.

Mom has the electronic deer who light up and their heads move. Well, when she put them out front the one year, we had a lot of snowstorms, and where she put them is notorious for drifting over, though she thought she put them far enough away where they wouldn't be affected. Well, when the snow came, it covered the deer, and the only thing you could see were their butts sticking out of the snow! So, now Mom isn't sure if she wants to put them out this year, though she is thinking of putting them further away where they won't get drifted in.

Needless to say, the image is always funny to think about.

Yep, it's always funny to think about.

And we just had our first official snowfall yesterday. Ground is covered. I'm not sure if I'm going to get the mail today because where there's snow, there's ice, and for someone with only one eye and sucky depth perception, that's not a good combo.

Be careful Shell!
Our long range forecast is talking about a white Christmas for us. That almost never happens in the UK and certainly not enough snow to get excited about. I hope we get a little dusting, not so much the transport grinds to a halt but just enough to make it pretty Christmas morning.
