Yes, I most definitely agree, there is something odd about Kirby. I'm now wondering what's going on with him, or even if it is him.

Just curious... in the earlier Operation Breakout trailer when Donnie and Kirby are geeking off, Donnie thinks Newtralizer is a salamander and Kirby corrects him.

But I'm sure in another episode April said her dad's a psychologist... why would he know anything about wildlife to the extent where he can spill out scientific terms about their physiology?

Well, with this angle you could say that Donny has no degrees at all, yet has such gratuitous scientific knowledge. I think they are trying to show that Donny and Kirby seem to have a lot in common.

Unless this is not actually Kirby O'Neil, as per the plan that is the plan of Kraang.

Well it might not be the real Kirby, or he might be brainwashed/under the krang's control, etc..

We do not know what Kirby had minored in and you can learn things outside of school.

Good point Retro-Specs, but as much as Donny has such gratuitous scientific knowledge I don't know if that would mean the real Kirby would also, since his daughter April claims that his is only a "psychologist that studies rats running through mazes". I could be wrong though.

You're very right on that thought though, the Kraang did blatantly mention that the "plan is going according to plan", which is eluding even more evidence that there's something not right about this Kirby.

"Flopped the ECM Data screen"? Donnie's gonna be all like, I know something's wrong when a scientist of the wrong scientific field references something he wouldn't specialize in. - DEAD GIVEAWAY!!

Interesting thought ElectricN, which is now making me wonder where, how and why Newtralizer became mutated. I guess we'll have to wait and find out more about him tomorrow. Hopefully this next episode may have some answers regarding Newtralizer's origins.
