If it's only nominated for its animation quality, then why did they nominate South Park? It's interesting animation but not even close to good by any means.

NOTHING was nominated for a Daytime Emmy this year in animation. It was all Drama shows and crap like that. I guarantee you TMNT would've been nominated for one this year if they had bothered with animation. Also, season 2 hasn't been taking the best direction? Uh, Target: April O'Neil, Slash and Destroy, Good, Bad, Casey Jones, Of Rats and Men, Wormquake, Lonely Mutation, Wrath of Tiger Claw, Legend of Kuro Kabuto, and Vengeance is Mine would like to have a word with you. (Many of those were some of the best episodes of the SERIES)

As for Bubbly, well, that's just jammin' & jolly that he reads your fan-fics. Good to know people only defend others' negative behavior because of a bias.

This.
Oh, get over yourself. I'm so sick of the mentality that if anybody doesn't like the show, they shouldn't post in this section about it. It's just f*cking ridiculous how this forum has sunk so low. I could see if Zarius flamed everyone else for liking it, but he hasn't done that. And looking back at his post, I didn't see anything wrong with it at all and nothing that would amount to the backlash he's receiving.

And my defense of him has nothing to do with bias. He has every right to hate this show and post his dislike of it as he sees fit just as others have every right to praise the show and post how they like it. Since when has this forum become so one-sided like this? It's the same thing in the movie thread, which is why I stay away from it. People really need to grow up and stop dictating what we can and can't say on this forum. And if you don't like someone's negative opinion, just ignore it. Plain and simple.

Yo. He edited his first post a bunch to take out most of the insults. After it was read and responded to.

Even in his followup post he went on calling people 'sheep' for liking the show and not agreeing with his view of it's flaws. He also implied that a few of the people that didn't agree with him are retarded.

Really does seem like it only got any attention because of the gimmick with the OT Turtles. That was my gut reaction, frankly. Just callin' it as I see it.
That was my feeling too. I think Wrath or Lonely Mutation would have been better episodes to use, since they show what the Nick show is capable of when you remove the doofiness and get down to business. Honestly, I think that is the only reason why people like Manhattan Project is because they still miss the OT a lot and wish it was back on the air. I just wish they would say it upfront and be blunt and honest about it. This show doesn't feel like it's getting judged on it's own terms to me with this particular episode, but because of some brief OT cameo that it has and that annoys me greatly. I badly want this show to be it's own thing, and not some vehicle to keep the OT 'alive.' Otherwise it stops being Nick TMNT and becomes OT redux, wth bits of 'old school' OT thrown in for the extra nostalgia feels.

To be honest, don't mean to fuel the fire, but the episode wasn't very memorable to me.

That is all.

Ummm... I'm guessing you didn't read my first post carefully:

So after reading a bit on it, the Daytime Emmy Awards nominates the series for a Children's Animated Show (surprised no one mentioned how Nick TMNT was nominated back in 2013 by the way, yet WASN'T nominated at all in 2014), but these Primetime Emmy Awards nominate only a single episode/special (less than an hour) within any animated series (children's or adults'), and NOT the series as a whole.
Which has a link to the Children's Animated Nominated Shows for the 2014 Daytime Emmys. And here's the Children's Animated Nominated Shows for the 2013 Daytime Emmys. (Kung Fu Panda won in both years in this category of "Outstanding Children's Animated Show".) So yes, Nick TMNT wasn't nominated this 2014 year. So, I don't understand where your logic is of "it was all Drama shows and crap like that" is coming from.

As for those episodes I would say a couple of them are good highlights ("Wrath of Tiger Claw" and "Vengeance Is Mine"), but I would beg to differ on about half of them. If you are really interested in my opinion of them, which I highly doubt, I'm sure you can search for my posts in the official episode threads in the Nick forum. Otherwise, as I told others who have disagreed with my opinion before, if you enjoy the episodes and the series, so be it. I'm glad at least some of us are enjoying it more so than me. All I'm pointing to, is with this lack of 2014 nomination and how some have been complaining about Donnie's, Mikey's, and April's depictions, on top of the "Mutant of the Week" episodic plots, selective plot amnesia, and the stale direction of the Kraang plot, they could be possible factors toward that lack of a nomination, but that's just my speculation on things.

I am quite certain, however, that when you hang out with him, the bulk of your dialogue is not you dissing his work. Have some damned tact.

But you're a complete dick to people you know enjoy something you don't, you hypocrite.

THEN SHUT THE **** UP ABOUT IT! You're contributing absolutely nothing to the discussions once we already know how you feel. Even Netkeeper, as hateful as he is, actually clarifies his criticisms.

Why is it one way for one thing (oh right, because Bay hate is the current fashion statement), and one way for another? Why must people conform to a pack mentality just to fit in on here? People should be allowed to have independent thought and not feel "intimidated" by the Neo-Nick fans (I use quote marks because the thought of these people being capable of intimidation is just sad, maybe I should rephrase that to "amused", complete with the quote marks because the thought of these people being capable of amusement is equally just as sad)
Well first of all, I haven't read all of the bile spewed at Bay (is that even possible to do?) but again, much of what I've seen is more eloquent than your rants. Second, though, I disagree. People should pay some mind to "When in Rome"; not to outright ass-kissing levels, but to the extent that it's courteous. You don't have to share the mass opinion, but you're downright insecure if you feel oppressed in your opinion if you don't voice it. Once again, you are just beating a dead horse, and comments like "the emperor has no clothes" and "mediocre" don't mean anything. At all. Your accusations of us being sheep are dead wrong; most of us have big gripes with the show; the difference is we can actually phrase them as constructive criticism. I haven't come on to praise the show one-sidedly in months.

Wish?! Wishing doesn't do jack. Neither does whining. If you want the writers to do better, give criticisms that actually give advice to them, or shut the shell up.

No doubt, you have the right to your opinion, but so do I, and arbitrarily respecting anyone violates my right. So you get to say this show sucks? Well, then I get to say you suck.

YOU ****ING SUCK!

South Park's animation is good. Plus South park's writing is actually good and full of satire comedy. The writers of South Park usually get there inspiration from real life events. South Park also kind of made fun of themselves for being an award winning show by showing the stupidest stuff and broadcasting it. There is a reason why South Park has been going on for 17 seasons and still going.

The animation quality in TMNT is superb and worthy of nomination by that alone. The writing of TMNT is decent, it usually averages a rating of 7/10. 7/10 does not equal MAJESTIC MASTERPIECE AND BIBLE FOR ALL TMNT FANS!!!!!!

Um... Saying a cartoon that is basically for kids sucks is not the same as saying a fellow member of the forum sucks. Let's keep personal insults to a miminum.

Agreed, Coola... there is ZERO need for this kind of hostility.

Zarius, Konchadunga...

I don't care if someone likes or dislikes something. Calling people stupid, or sheep, or retarded, or this "Neo-Nick" thing... this is ridiculous. Attacking each other and other fans because of their opinions of the cartoon is a waste of time, energy. No fans want to read through your garbage to actually get to the original thread topic.

So this thread will be cleaned. And the staff will be notified.

If this nonsense continues after today (12JUL2014), you will be hearing from us..
