I found the turtles in this movie very likable.

Wow, something I agree with concerning you for once. Hmmm, maybe the sequel will give him some more scenes to sink his teeth into.

I finally saw the film yesterday and it was definitely cool seeing an actual TMNT movie on the big screen for the first time in almost 25 years! Neutral but with a slight leaning toward "like". It provides lots of decent moments from what you expect for a TMNT story- an origin story, April's encounter with the Turtles and her backstory, the Foot, rescues, and a final battle with the Shredder along with some pop cultural references and humor, most noticeably the cat on one of the TVs that was gagged later on. That said, I feel that the flaws for me are the over the top Turtles' designs, the lack of the Turtles' introductions (though if you know their basic personalities, it fits), a bit too focused on April (Though not too much to make it unlikeable), and some silliness.

I'll say this much (and this is my first post): I went into the movie thinking it would not be very good. I was surprised, however, by how much "fun" it was.

In terms of plot, pacing and character development, the movie disappointed big time. But I left the theater pleasantly surprised and more pleased than I thought I'd be because the turtles were entertaining, the action scenes were cool and the CGI was pretty good.

I still probably rate the film behind the trilogy from the 90s, but I think it was enjoyable.

Maybe one day we'll get a movie/trilogy in the mold of Nolan's recent Batman films that try had a darker, grittier and more serious tone. This isn't it, but that's okay because it's meant to be fun.

so the poll is showing that around 50% of us liked it, 25% did not, and 25% thought it was good and bad

honestly, for the drome, thats pretty good, to be enjoyable for over half of us and to be okay for atleast 3/4 of us

Majority of users here liked it; does that mean a majority of users here are under 20?

Even if you're right, which you aren't, I'm pretty sure under 20 was the primary demographic the movie was trying to reach anyway (besides nostalgic 34 year olds)

Even the action scenes weren't as good. I kept seeing people rave about the snow/mountain scene like it was the best thing ever, but aside from some brief moments I don't think I really cared for it.

I'm in my 30's and loved it. A couple holes in the plot but I thought they did a great job with the turtle's expressions and personalities. Really entertaining. I also like that April had more of a central heroic role than just the (yawn) damsel in distress.

I'm split inbetween hating this thing and really loving it. Anytime the Turtles were on screen was a blast, but after that this thing slid down hill quickly.

The plot was dumb, Shredder was worthless and so was his plan (or was its sachs plan?).

Megan Fox was so, so for me. But pretty much every character was shallow and pointless and only existed to move the plot forward.

You mean your personal opinion?

The poll shows that it's more of a consensus agreement that the movie was liked

Now that shredder didn't end up being militarian, I am from here on out going to assume that the foot is weird, that they look militarian cause they are weird. The fact that shredder isn't like that and that they are isn't bad if you look at it that way.

Sorry, just struck me funny. I know what you meant.

just have been responding to a lot of unjustified comments about the movie lately, and didnt know if it was a mistake or just generalizing everyones opinions
