This episode was a lot of fun. I don't like the bug designs, but that's about it. The jokes were some of the best. I needed a good laugh after the lack of humor in the previous episodes.

ARGH!!! I do NOT believe this! I overslept and missed all but the last FIVE MINUTES of the show! And I was just soooo sandblasted tired from getting back from my sister's last night that I completely forgot to set the bloomin' VCR, just in case I DID oversleep...which, of course, I did. Stupid me. I haven't missed an ep, OR missed taping them, since we got the satellite back. I'm just sooooooo mad at myself, you would NOT believe............

Anyway, I hope they rerun this ep later, before Season 3 starts, as I want to try to get them in order and keep them that way. I missed ALL of Season 1, due to NOT having a satellite OR cable, and I was determined to get as many eps as I could before Season 3 starts. Anyway, hopefully this won't happen again. (Gotta invest in an alarm clock. Stupid me........ )

Ugh. That song was painfully bad. I want to find the person that thinks those muscial interludes are a good idea and beat the snot out of him or her.

The puzzle box things was a riot. I've been contemplating TMNT cenobites for a few weeks now, Shredder could have blades coming out of his skin, Splinter would be totally hairless (among other things)...mmmm cenobites...

I liked the song! They should've gotten Phil Collins to sing it, though...

Finally, an April episode! It was pretty good. I'm going out on a whem (sp?) and saying that this was the best filler episode in the series. I loved the whole Jungle Girl thing. That was really sexy. And boy, can she fight! I guess the Turtles have been teaching her some moves. What they need to do is turn her into a full fledge Ninja, with Master Splinter's help of course. Some quick thoughts.

-Leonardo still feels guilty about April's shop being blown up in the first place. I thought by now he would finally get over that. Oh, and the whole "Weapons! NOW!!!" thing that April did was brillant. I think if they had their weapons in the bug dimension, it would not of been as good.

-The humor was pretty good. I like the part when Mikey says, "Would it be cliche to say 'Cowabunga'?" And of course Raph's response of no. I also liked it when Mikey tried to freak out Raph about a bug on his back. You know, I think it's safe to assume that Raph IS scared of bugs. haha. He just doesn't want to admit it.

-That song they played when they were building their weapons and floats wasn't that bad. It was very fitting. That's the second song they have used this season. The first was 'Running Free' in City at War Part I.

-I bet I wasn't the only one who thought April said "Bitch!" to the Queen Hornet. lol

-The storyline with April's Uncle is interesting because it opens up a big arc in Season 3. Who knows what kind of dimension he was sent to. April could try to find him and take the Turtles along to rescue him. I got a feeling that is what's going to happen next season.

-And the fact that, according to Casey, they were gone only 2 seconds is hilarious.

Overall, it was great. I do hope they follow up with this one next season. It would work perfectly. Oh and I must agree with the guy who said that April brings the Jungle man out. I felt the same way.

This is just like the fact that the turtles were said to be in space for 8 hours when they (the turtles) thought it was 3 weeks.

I doubt they have the budget to get Phil. Might have been interesting though if they did.

Well this episode appear to be better than expected. I wasn't sure about Giant Bugs. This one is like a mix between, The Lost World and some old Sci-Fi film about Giant Bugs.

I knew the bug World won't have anything to do with April's Father. But her Uncle Oggy's background is interesting. Atleast I know what her Mother and Father look like.

I never knew Raph had issues against Bugs. he's acting like Indiana Jones' fear of Snakes. Raph hates Foot Ninjas, Shredder, Hun, Stockman, Mousers, Purple Dragons, The N.Y. Mobsters, That prisoner from "Big House of TMNT in Space", And now we know his weakness is bugs. Raph was great on this episode with his "I hate BUGs!" feeling.

First "Running Free" from City at War part 1. Now "It's a Jungle Out there". I don't mind the series having some really great songs in the background. But I like it, It's better than the everyday music you hear on the Radio.

I have a feeling we will get a TMNT soundtrack.

Any this episode is another good filler, it's my second favorite Filler of the Season. #2 next to #1:"Golden Puck".

This was the first episode to see April with more defense-ness. nice to see one of the main girl charaters getting their own role for once. I know this won't be the last time we've heard of Oggy O'Neil.

Perhaps in future Seasons there'll be more to her father as well.
My rating: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Next week is an episode I been waiting to see for a long time.

I second that, dude! That scene really reminded me of that "Sha-wing!" moment in the third movie when Leo and Don were watching her peel off some of Kenshin's kimono that she had after switching places with him. Infact, the way the cube itself worked also reminded me of how it sent them back through time but remained in the future, so they had to use the cube/egg timer from whereever they were to get back home.

I really like the songs they play in the background at times, like the one they played during the montage. It adds a level of fun into the turtles' otherwise serious dilemas.

Now THAT'S a good filler episode! There wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this episode, and it's shot right up to be one of my favorites so far. Everything from Raph's hatred of bugs to Jungle Girl April to getting another lyric song.

Yeah, I was really impressed by how April stepped out in this ep. She's definitely got a tough, wild girl side to her. And I loved how her hair ended up by the end of the episode. Got a feeling that there's a bit more to this story than we're getting here. The puzzle box, and the message on the compass makes me wonder if maybe there's a history to April's family tree that she isn't aware of... Would explain how "This place just brings out the Jungle Girl in me."

Preview for next week was... interesting. Looks like fun, though.

Tree House went BOOM! Remember? No more tree house.

I think Wes was just joking there, Kali. But yea, you have a good point. The treehouse is gone anyway, so there's no way anyone could find the book unless it were left rotting in the mud.

You know, that box would be a *great* way to introduce Renet and co. into the series. Yeah, that's very doable...

I thought there's going to be many different Giant Bugs. but it turns out to be Mutant Hornets. I'd expect Grasshoppers, Ants, Spiders and Maybe pill Bugs.

Too Bad Mikey didn't say something like "Well this is sure one heck of a Bug's Life"

O well, and to think the Underground Monsters and Utroms were gross, now the Giant Hornets are ranked as #1 gross creatures of the series.

Where the HELL is Robyn O'Neil?

Damn, looks like April's an only child in this universe. Would it have killed them to include Robyn in the picture? Oh well. *Strikes April's "City at War" Storyline from the possible future episodes list*.

Must...kill...songwriter. Good thing they couldn't get Phil Collins, or I'd have a broken TV set right about now. Aside from that and the gratuious "Turtles Break April's stuff" sequence, it was alright. Anybody think August O'Neil will make an appearance in "The Big Brawl"?
