Raph gave mike another nod and eased her over to him, before heading toward the infirmary, where splinter had wanted him several hours ago.

Raph was avoiding thought. he'd've left her there. that's what she wanted. but Mike had 'that look' in his eye. The look he used to get when they were kids and something he REALLY wanted was on the top shelf. It was generally followed by the look he got when he'd pulled the entire shelving unit down on himself. But Raph had helped him through that stupidity, so he'd be there for this one too.

R: (internal) she better find some one to HELP HER if she hurts him though.

*Mike reaches around and pulls a slightly crumpled piece of paper from his belt. He raises an eyebrow at Machias, and starts to read, his voice unsteady*

Mike: 'I had promised that i wouldnt be a problem to the family any longer, and now i will keep my word. by the time you read this letter, I will be gone...I'm sorry Don, for hurting you, Mike for leaving you and Splinter and Kya for betraying your trust...again.' *he broke off and took in a deep breath to steady his voice* That sounds like you were planning on leaving for good to me. It...it sounded like you felt that the only way you wouldn't cause problems would be to disappear. Machias, hon...I love you more than life itself, but that has to be the most boneheaded thing I have ever heard in my entire life! How could your leaving cause less problems? Because there'd be a pretty damned big gaping hole where the most important part of me should be, and I think thats a pretty big problem!

I'm sorry...I wish i'd never written that letter...thought those words...I was so worried about Don, and the accident...I didnt think that Raph's chasing me and collision with Don would cause so much pain for you...I'm such an idiot...I let my emotions control me again. Please, forgive me...I've wronged you so much....

Kya looked like she WANTED to disappear... she focused on beating her hair into submission. it was a curly snarled mass from swimming, the impromptu bath, and then the blankets, but she got her fingers through the bit at the base of her head and pulled out a long lock of it to tie the rest of it back at the base of her neck.
