They (the folks @ Nick) told us we'd see hints of him but he wouldn't be in the first season himself.

Still, why is Casey Jones not going to be in the first season? I'm going to assume, but they wanted to give him some time to come on. Personally, without Casey, it doesn't bother me. This is a ninja show, not a soap opera.

Generally (the comic and 2k3) Casey tends to be in on the action far more with the Turtles then April is. By your reasoning they should actually get rid of April and have Casey around if you don't want this "romantic theme" as you are stating.

I personally think you need a little mixture of everything for the show to be well-rounded and interesting. Emotions of all kinds are usually what cause character growth.

Casey is just as important of a factor to the guys lives as April is. He is another important human alliances for the Turtles to have and if they are doing a more "rough and tumble" type personality for Raphael in this series, Casey then becomes an important comrade to him.

But I may also be bias because Casey is my second favorite character in the franchise and I'm already sad I have to wait to season two for him to hopefully appear.

I always hate it when they make Casey a dope whenever he's around April. It'd be best if he was a psycho who doesn't care about having a girlfriend and April was the one who was awkward around him.

Of course, I don't want it to go as overboard as Young Justice does with Miss Martian and Superboy... but you get what I'm saying.

Here's my take

, I think Gobo means that it would more likely to see a character he made up called "Hiphop" on the new show than Bebop or Rocksteady. It'd be good to see them again but I doubt it.

I'm hoping Bebop and Rocksteady are in this toon. If I can remember, Alex Deligiannis was sketching for the show, and he made Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang. So it's possible for the pig and hippo to be on. God only knows.
