EBGames Australia has an exclusive pre-order bonus of a Mini-Mutant 2-pack (lame, especially if what's shown here is what you get), and 4 bonus skins.

Hopefully it'll also be GameStops that'll have 'em, and across the globe instead of just down under.

God damnit, nothing pisses me off more than game content that is pre-order exclusive. So everyone else who can't pre-order from them are screwed out of game skins...

The mutant mini-pack is a nice extra though, how is it lame? at least you get something. I mean for TMNT 2007 game all you got was a reprint of TMNT #1

Most all of the games I've seen do that are just giving you the cheat codes you can get for free over the net and I'm betting it's the same here.

At least this proves there ARE different skins for the game (something I never once heard anyone offical mention).

EDIT: Btw, those Mini Mutants are super lame shelfwarmers.

True, I think I may have confused it with DLC pre-order exclusives, but the Wii doesn't really have DLC the extra skins will already be inside the disc so at worst a Action Replay will do the trick or it'll be a universal code..

And yeah unlockable skins is an awesome confirmation. Since they are four I think its safe to assume they are skins for the four turtles. So it'll either be Mirage looking turtles or OT looking turtles

I hope so, just to spite all the people who complained about the '07 skins.

Joking aside the skin could indeed be just the movie turtles with some extra armor or the same movie turtles with red bandannas or movie turtles with eyelids.

I hope this game rocks since TMNT for the 360 was kinda weak in my opinion.

Well, from what I've been seeing the new game seems to show a lot of potential with the many options in gameplay. TMNT 2007 was an alright game, it's just that it would have been better as a co-op kind of thing I suppose.

16 more days until Comic Con. It cannot come soon enough.

EDIT: Sooo... We need to give the Foot Soldier and Utrominator real names to make them even more awesomer. How 'bout Cha Ocho and Glurin, respectively?

Foot Ninjas don't need names and the Utrominator has Mortu's voice, so if anything he's Mortu.

So what is the realistic assumption on the total character roster?

I'd say 15 is probably the minimum, and I don't think there will be more than 20.

We already know 12 confirmed characters, (2 being Rabbids, meh), so we'll probably get a few more. Karai is a shoe-in since they'll just reuse her movie design from the last game, but I'm curious to see who else they use.

Ah, didn't realize that about Mortu. Mortu sounds good to me.

So no name for the Foot?

Come on, we gotta name him something.

I think we'll get around 20. There are already 12 confirmed, and 2 probables (Fugitoid and Leatherhead). Like you said, Karai is very probable too which already makes 15. I think they'll put at least 2-3 more TMNT characters in and probably a couple more Ubi characters.

Anyway, I've managed to narrow my wishlist down to a bare minimum... and it's still rather large. Please don't screw this up, Ubisoft -- give us a decent TMNT roster first, then throw whatever extra character you want into the game.

CONFIRMED
1. Leonardo
2. Raphael
3. Michelangelo
4. Donatello
5. Splinter
6. April
7. Casey Jones
8. Shredder
9. Utrominator
10. Foot Ninja
11. Rabbid (please, oh, please, let it only be one slot)

SEMI-CONFIRMED
1. Fugitoid
2. Leatherhead

WISHLIST
1. Rat King
2. Karai
3. Bebop
4. Rocksteady
5. Krang
6. Hun
7. Baxter

I'll have to consider anything more than that a bonus at this point. I really don't think we'll be getting any Archie characters at all, and frankly, I'm beginning to doubt we'll see anyone from the 80's cartoon either. But if they add those characters at least, then they can add whatever Ubisoft characters they want.
Honestly, Utrominator is cool and all, but I'd really like to have Krang for completionists' sake.

But how many bodiless aliens in exoskeletons can we actually fit into one game? Well, we have 2 different Rabbids, so hopefully the answer is "plenty more."

So let's say Ubisoft realizes that they overlooked having Krang completely, and instead of leaving him out of the game...

How many of you would be disappointed if they changed Utrominator's name to Krang and changed his backstory to say that he is:

"An evil Utrom named Krang who escaped to Earth and allied himself with Oroku Saki. In exchange for keeping Krang hidden away from the other pursuing Utroms, Krang provides alien technology for Oroku's advancement as The Shredder."

This mixes the OT and NT stories into one and we get a modernized Krang that fits into the NT world and we lose a generic Utrom in a battle-suit.

OPEN ONIONS?

Karai didn't have a 3D model in the 3D TMNT 2007 game. So if they indeed just using the movie designs from the videogame for lazyness then we might get a different design since they'd have to make a new one anyway.

Also I don't think April/Casey/Splinter had 3D models in the movie designs either did they?

So we just broke that theory of lazyness at least.
