January 8th, 1815 at the Battle of New Orleans. Altho the battle wasn't really IN New Orleans itself but in Chalmette, Louisiana outside New Orleans. Bishop's uniform was that of an American Colonel or Major General.

Here's a picture of the Battle...note the man waving the sword in the air. Same uniform Bishop was wearing.

I am somewhat familiar with the Battle of New Orleans as I've said before..one of my ancestors faught and died there.

hehe. I loved that too! He gracefully steps to the side and totally ignores it.

It didn't seem that he had any trouble at all with them. I wonder if he went easy on them so that he could leave them for his bros and see how well they would deal with the monsters.

Did anyone else notice that they reused the "I don't think they heard you in Jersey" line? Nothing important, just a little interesting tidbit.

For those that don't know: It was originally used in the very first episode, where Raph starts bashing a truck, and Mikey uses that exact same line in response to the loud noise Raph was causing, when they were supposed to be silent.

Yeah, I kinda cringed when they did that... but it's not entirely unbelievable. Maybe it's a phrase they all use regularly? I have a few of those myself.

But still... hmmm.

When Raph said, "I don't think they can hear you in Jersey," I had to smile.

References to the great state of New Jersey are not uncommon in NYC, since they can see each other across the water. In fact, references to NJ are not uncommon on much of the east coast. I've heard that same phrase spoken aloud before. So don't sweat it.

In other news...

"Right about what? Your theory?"
Leo gets credit for at least trying participate in the conversation while Don's in eureka! mode. Dude, maybe it's because I'm a science geek, but it totally cracked me up when Leo said that.

"Well, Leo, you're all enlightened now. What's the plan?"
That was good too. Lots of good lines in this ep.
Man, I need to go to sleep instead of sitting here laughing to myself.

Nice episode. I like it that both Leo and Raph are back to their own self.

Bishop and Stockman seem to form a strong team, though Baxter looked a bit disappointed when Bishop didn't keep his promise for Baxter's new body.

I wondered about something - did anyone else think that the turtles bodies looked more like the old toon - more thin in a way? When they entered the sewer, just before they met the ticks, I really felt like I was watching the old toon!

I never said it was bad I found it amusing actually, because at first I couldn't see where exactly that feeling came from.

oh no I wasn't saying you said it was a bad thing.
I think allot of it feeling like the old toon had to do with the way everyone acted the way things moved and all the crazy mutant bugs.
It was quite a nice change for once in the show

I don't know if I would be attracted to the idea of being the inspiration of the little and pretty odd head inside the minetonka mutant .....no wonder it doesn't look anything like the guy on the toon.....

A MUCH BETTER SHOT

www.actionfigurecollectors.com:

From Playmates Toys: Playmates Toys introduced a new Turtle that was made to resemble Tyler Kloss, a 12 year old student from Minnetonka, Minnesota, who was the winner of a nationwide promotional contest with Cartoon Network for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! A new action figure from the highly popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line has been made in Tyler's honor and was presented to him at the Mall of America on November 13th.

The toy resembles Tyler and is named the "Minnetonka Mutant". Tyler was presented with the first 24 figures right off the line from the factory but it will be sold in stores nationwide. The event received local coverage as they featured turtle walkabouts who performed songs and played trivia with the large audience.

Tyler doesn't typically dress like the turtles but he is a HUGE action figure fan especially the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has a great collection. He is a middle school student who likes to skateboard, bike, collect action figures (of course this includes the TMNT) and play drums.

Cartoon Network and Playmates Toys partnered in November 2004 to create a custom on-air and online Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles promotion and sweepstakes. Together they gave the ultimate TMNT prize to one lucky grand prize winner who got the chance to become a TMNT action figure that will be sold in stores as part of the Fall 2005 toy line!

Tyler was the Grand Prize winner. He is an 11 year old boy from Minnetonka Beach, MN.

Thanks, LUCKFF...

Look at the eyes.

So, uh, when that thing's head flips down, does it look like the mutant from Outbreak?

I don't think we've seen the last of Minatonka though cause Baxter captured him in the episode and was taking him back to Bishop.
So he very well could end up looking like that at some point as they experiment on him...and man if they show that *eep* I feel sorry for him seriously he's the only mutant I ever really felt sorry for besides mutagen man in the old cartoon...

That is so insanely retarded I can't even believe. The kid gets made into a toy that's already in the show? All they did was put his head behind the head of the mutant. Not like the mutant in the show looks like that. So the kid got made into a inaccurate toy....sad really. Playmates you suck. And may I add that head mold sucks and that toy looks like ass.
