New Trailer is up, but...

YouTube trailer video... BUT

Sorry, it's REALLY crappy. For those who have seen the MTV version, this is NOT an improvement. This should only interest the people who can't access the MTV site for whatever reason.

I recorded the trailer off TV with my DVD-R, but the DVD it made doesn't make my computer happy. The best rip of the video I could get didn't include the audio (NO idea why). I've spent over three hours trying to get it to rip correctly and I'm just out of options.

So I ended up playing the trailer on my TV and then recorded that with my digital camera.

I know, lame-o.

But here you go.

Don doesn't sound as geeky, he sounds kinda more like Leo.

Raph's voice is okay but I like the new toon better.

Mikey is fine and Leo is as well.

That's it for voices. Looks like it has some good humor in it as well. Looks like I'll be enjoying this*Though I knew that already from the first trailer*

"Legendary" isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of the TMNT. Usually if it isn't along the lines of "completely f**kin' awesome" coming out of my mouth I prefer the word "epic".

hah yea same here but you know I think I'm getting don and leo confused with voices they are rather close in this it's kind of odd..hopefully it wont be as hard to figure out on the big screen.
But what I'm saying is that this movie don's voice reminds me of 2k3's Leo voice not 2k3's don voice people seem to be getting that confused. Like I've been saying I'm sure it will take some getting used to but I'm sure I will.
Also I just noticed mikey holding a pizza..in what sort of looks like the old toons lair? or
And also am I the only other one who thinks the joke at the end doesn't work because we've been told it's not the same mother or what not or am I just pulling this out of my butt? I swear peter laird or some one said they aren't real brothers.

I remember that "not real brothers" stuff from NT:TNM in order to not create any taboos if they wanted one of the TMNT to hook up with Venus but other than that I've always been under the assumption that they are brothers.

hmm I'm pretty sure in the 2k3 show they arent either..as well as mirage.
Oh well I know they are in the archie comics though and old toon.
But in the tournament fighters video game it also says they are from differnt places.*shruggs*

I think that joke is reinforcing the idea that they're brothers. Plus it could be different in this movie-- it's not like all of the TMNT backstory is exactly uniform! But I'm not sure Peter Laird knows if they're genetically related brothers or not, since pet shop turtles are not necessarily related.

I know I know lol it's not like it's really a big deal either...since the movie world acording to Kevin (the director) is saying it is it's own world.
So they very well could be brothers the joke just didnt work for me because I was in the mind set that they wernt brothers but brothers in the sence they became a family of warriors with their teacher and master Splinter.

The joke was funny to me because I have 3 brothers, and when they were younger they sounded and acted exactly like Don and Mike in that clip. It was more of a rolling-the-eyes kind of funny though. haha

Seriously, the animation is pretty decent. And I don't mind their voices, they're acceptable... safe for Don's, whose voice is very Leo-ish. At first, I thought that Mikey grabbed Leo and then gave him that "Your Mom" remark later on. But after reading this thread and watching the trailer once again I figured it was Don in fact. That voice mistook me.

Ok, at the very least, they were turned humanoid because they last thing that touched them before the ooze did was A human. Not FOUR humans. So, really... they all have that one human in common, at least.

As for the Leo vs Don voice... Maybe it's just ME... But I don't have a problem at all telling them apart... Their voices always were supposed to sound kinda similar, which is why the 2K3 VA's were reversible. *shrugs* I dunno. Maybe I'm just attuned to it or something.

I agree. Maybe we're better able to distinguish voices? I dunno, but take:

"I've got a bad feeling...
and
"Within hours we'll lose the city, and within weeks...the world.

These sound VERY different to me. Now, sarcastic Don speaks with a bit lower of a voice at the end, and there it's a little closer to the new movie Leo... but still different, I think. And at no point did the 2k3 Leo voice ever cross my mind while I watched this.

Now - where they have Don onscreen with the audio:

"That can't be good..."

Note the lipsync is off. I'm almost 100% sure that's dubbed, and nearly as sure that it's Leo's voice there, not Don... as it sounds exactly the same as when Leo speaks a few seconds later.

After watching the trailer again, I have this to say.

I can't wait!

I love all the voices.

Donnie sounds like 2003 toon Donnie a couple of times, but I think it depends on the situation they're in...I dunno.

Raph does sound a bit like Casey in 2003 toon (but MUCH better IMO).

Leo sounds good.

Mikey, after listening to it again, sounds kinda like Robbie Rist (the only time he sounded like Wayne was his first line in the trailer...Wayne of early season 1 anyway). I think he sounds adorable!

The trailer looked awesome, but I hated the burp part...it was just thrown in there and I hate it when trailers do that! It may be funny in the actual movie...but it didn't fit in the trailer itself.

I love the look of the characters.

The turtles look great as do the humans (I think April looks really cute).

I wish we had a better look at Karai...

I can't wait to see this!!!!!!

Looks awesome. The voices suck, but they are probably placeholders anyway (Sounded like the new 'toon voices). If you told me a year ago this movie would look good I would have called you crazy, but damn it, it actually does.

As for the brothers thing...The human thing is a moot point because that origin is no longer being used. There's probably no way in hell that they're all related by blood, but that doesn't mean they're not 'real' brothers.

Also, it was a joke, and a dumb one at that.

Oddly enough, you're using the Old Toon origin for that theory....in every other TMNT universe, the TCRI mutagen just causes the animal to grow, both physically and intellectually. Not saying they aren't brothers, but what makes a brother, shared blood or shared rearing?

I agree here...This is the only place in the trailor where I think Don & Leo sound the same, and it is because they sound exactly the same.

That was awesome. I'm really excited. Unfortunately, I also have a problem trying to figure out who's Leo and who's Donny. If the voice that I thought was Leo turns out to be Don, it's going to be pretty weird since he sounds more like the current Don. Sadly, the human character design blows! Seriously, Casey and April looks awful!!! April looks like a 14 year old girl.

BTW, anyone else thought the lair looks like the lair from the first movie? Look at the surroundings during the "your mom" part. I swear it looks like a virtual recreation of the first film. I was kinda hoping they would live in the abandoned subway station though...
