Michelangelo was on his way back home. He had only been walking for five minutes when he noticed something was amiss.

'What the hell? I'm not alone here.....'

Suddenly, a large mutant wolf and mutant bear, both male, both sporting para-military garb and gear, faced down Mike.

"Hey!" the wolf snarled to the bear, "look at that shrimp over there. He must be on Outlander... or a deserter!!"

"Heh," the other one remarked, "either way, he's dead!!"

Both mutants prepped up their rifles for firing.

Mike grinned. "Not a very smart move, boys."

"Hah! Like you're one to talk, shrimp!!" the bear roared. "Either one of us is over twice your size!!"

"You say that like it matters." Michelangelo readied his hands by his nunchaku. "But if you guys insist......"

((nearly all members of the Mutant Militia have a psionic power of one type or another... for example, the cat had a power over wind while that dog had her own power... just... keep that in mind

Also, in this, the Outlanders aren't as big and Randi isn't a member of them ^^;; ))

Randi reached the old, abandoned house that she had been staying in for the past week and slumped onto the couch. "What'ta night..." She muttered, looking up at the hole in the cieling.

The first time she entered the house, she had gone upstairs to investigate only to find a week spot in the floor. Luckily, the living room and couch had been directly under her. "I just hope that Mike's goanna be okay..."

((geez, Jade, you sure do have a lot of origin stories for just one character!!))

The bear and wolf hit the ground with a thud. The entire fight had lasted less than five seconds.

"Well, that was disappointing. Take their guns away from them, and they're nothing but seven foot pansies."

Michelangelo heard what sounded like a dog howling... but, it was human... or was it?? 'Damn, too many weirdos runnin' around tonight... '

He quickly made his way to the surface and found a particularly juicy-looking high building to scope out the happenings of the night. 'Now, just what the hell is goin' on here??'

((Actually... same basic history... different situations/universes in each one the reason why she's on the run from the militia the same.))

The female canine was still whimpering atop the building, refusing to go down the fire escape but wanting off the roof all the same.

"SHhh! Dammit some one'll hear you!" THe cat snarled, "I thought you got over your fear of heights."

"S-so did I!!!" The dog sobbed back.

"You're acting like a kid."

"I AM a kid!" She replied, "So are you!"

This was true, both were at least 13 or 14 in age.

'Damn.. its more of those paramilitary goons!' Mike thought to himself. 'Just where the hell did all these mutant animals come from?! And why are they all shacked up in some kinda militia thing??'

Michelangelo examined the dog and cat more closely. '****, they're just kids....... hmmm, I wonder if these mutants have anything to do with Randi?? She was running from someone....'

Michelangelo decided to track them for a while, to see what they're up to.

The cat, who's name turned out to be Robert Mathews finally convinced the dog, whom he called Lang, to go down the fire escape.

Robert didn't look at all happy, "I bet you... I bet you it was her! It was Graysight!" He hissed.

"Her?" She sniffled, "Do'ya really think?"

"Yeah, you heard what Sergent Fishro told us!"

"How are we going to fight against that kinda power?" Lang groaned, "All this to catch one terrorist!"

"SHhh... I'll contact the base and see what they want us to do." He pressed a device next to his right ear, "Romeo to Alpha... come in Alpha."

He apparently gotten a reply, "We think we might have had contact with her... affirmative... we think she played off of Lang's phobia.... right. Yes sir... we'll be right there."

He turned it off looking to Lang, "Lets go."

Michelangelo stealthily tracked the two in hopes of finding out more about Randi's situation.

The two moved rather quickly, being sure not to be seen by the 'early birds' of the city as they made their way back to the base.

They reached a dock where several warehouses were kept and slunk up to a lesser used one where a drunken old man lounged infront of the side door.

"Who'zzat?"

"Romeo." Robert said

The man stood up and asked, "Who else?"

"Lima." Lang said

"Any one else."

"No." the two chorused.

The man's form suddenly changed to that of a mouse, and Robert and lang stepped out of hiding. They nodded to the mouse as he let them in.

The mouse promptly closed the door and... morphed back to a lazy looking man.

Damn, what is goin' on here??

Apparently, there was a well-armed, well-organized militia of mutant animals in New York. That much was evident. And Mike was not to happy of the fact.

Somethin' tells me this is not good....

He paused for a moment and decided not to try and make his way to the militia's base.... yet. He needed to find out more information through less forceful means first.....

I've got to find Randi....

I've got to find Randi....

Randi was currently curled up in one of the closets of the main bedroom, the door to it slightly open so she could hear if any one was to come near.

Half asleep, she pulled the old blanket over her more and stared into the darkness. So the Militia was here... at least some of them were.

It amused her that they'd come all this way just because of here; was she that much of a 'threat' to them? She'd need to leave soon, she couldn't risk them finding her... but what about Mike?

What about Mike and his brothers? What if the Militia got a hold of them? If the Militia did anything to them it would be her fault... then again, Mike looked like he was very good in the stealth department and could probably take care of himself... but yet...

She sighed, she'd figure it all out after she got at least some sleep.

Michelangelo wanted to find Randi without alerting any other possible 'psionics' in the area.

Well, that leaves out just 'yelling' to her with my mind.... I guess I'll have to do this the quiet way.....

Michelangelo sat down in a lotus position on top of a nearby building. He brought both hands in front of his chest. The left hand was balled up in a first except for the pointer finger which was aimed upward. The right hand was clasped around the left finger. With a short breath and a focus of intention, Michelangelo invoked the chiken-in 'sign of the wisdom fist' to enable him to figuratively 'see' other times and places....

Now.... where is she???...... THERE!!

With that, Mike got up and quickly darted towards Randi's hideout...

"Randi! Randi!! Hey, I need to talk to you!" he said gently, but forcefully, lighly touching her shoulders to wake her.

Michelangelo grabbed her by the shoulders in an attempt to get her to relax. "Calm down, Randi. I want to know just what the hell is goin on...."

He then explained to her the events that had transpired in the last ten minutes. How he was attacked by the wolf and bear in the sewer, how he had tracked the dog and cat and overheard their conversation about Randi, and about how he had tracked them down to their base....

"Now, what the hell is going on here??"
