Like Zig said, he's probably a Foot trainee. Many of the Purple Dragons probably aspire to be Foot soldiers. Much like in the first TMNT movie, young punks do some dirty work for the Foot but only those skill and intelligence can be come Foot.

Very good episode. Some people say it's not a filler, but I have to disagree. It was a character driven episode, but still didn't move the main plot. Thats what I consider a filler.

Now it is clear that Hun either directly or indirectly caused Casey's Father's death, He wouldn't be ready to deal a deathblow for just a burned shop sying, "This is for my Father".

Yeah very nice animation and action on this episode, and a good stand alone story too. I must say all in all, very good episode. It seems that nothing bad can come from these writers.

People are right saying that pretty much every episode was a standalone in the old cartoon, but you have to remember that it was a whole diffrent thing. The show aired every day, and thats why it had MANY diffrent writers with deadlines breathing on their neck. Right hand didn't know what left was doing. Of course that ended in the 7 season and seasons after that.

Have any of you guys ever played Earthworm Jim on the SNES or the SEGA Genesis? If so, you'll notice that next week's villain, Garbageman kinda looks like Chuck, EWJ's first level boss.
Am I right?

Still I find it a bit odd that hes wearing the mark of a secret orginisation on his chest for the whole city to see, it kinda seems like the foot would frown on something like that, maybe it just me.

From the look of it next weeks ep looks like the stinker of the bunch, but I wonder how a guy that looks like a cyborg ended up in a garbage dump, doolors to dounuts it has something to do with nano

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I thought this was the worst episode so far. Sure, it had some cool things (the turtles in street clothes, and the cage fight with Hun), but I just really didn't care for it...it really broke the momentum of the last week's episode, and it seemed like the turtles were different...joiing the fight in the cage seemed odd. But what can I say? I thought Nano was one of the better episodes.

Next week's looks much better; that guy does remind me alot of Pizza Face.

Heh. I thought Nano was much better than this one too but I don't think this is the worst episode yet.......

I give it 4 1/2 Stars. It may not introduce the Utroms but not all episodes have to show more plotting. I liked the part when Casey and the Turtles fight against Hun. Even Casey get to clob Hun for the first time. Hun was so big they would need 20 men to take him down. Mickey woundering what pie it was. We may have to wait 2 more weeks for the premiere of Shredder but we'll be waiting. I'll see if the "GarbageMan" Episode is any good.

I think "one shot" is a more appropriate term for episodes like Garbageman and Nano. The writers are just trying to switch up the tempo a bit, try some new things, and lighten the story at parts.

The old show did not have a continuing story so the new episodes really can't be compared. Because even a one shot episode in the new show like Nano, introduced two main characters (April and Casey) to each other.
I really like the points you made, dude. I loved this episode! Sure it didn't do anything for the main plot, but it still kicked ass in it's own right!

Hehe, hence my name

I actually liked today's episode. It went into character development, had Leo saving Raph again, (that scene where Raph was pinned against the cage and you could see Leo's clothing getting taken off was pretty cool), and of course, the thing I like most about this cartoon, alot more Casey Jones.

Next week's episode is kind of sketchy, but since I'm such a Turtle-Maniac, I'll treat it as the next best thing since sliced bread. Haha.

I just wanted to mention that I get the feeling they kinda switched April and Casey's roles around. Instead of April being a regular and Casey being an occasional guest shot, they changed it so Casey's a regular and April's a supporting character.

My opinion on why this would be so is that right now, they want the show to be extremely flashy and such, so they add in all the fighting and comic relief whenever they can. Since Casey is a fighter, as opposed to April's tech support I guess, he is more reliable in times of desperation.

Also take note that none of the episodes have taken place during the day besides the Attack of the Mousers series, where April help the guys out into getting into Stocktronics.

No they didn't. Who fights alongside the TMNT in Mirage, Casey or April? You have to remember it's based on Mirage, not the old cartoon. After Issue #10 Casey was as Regular as April.

One thing I did find odd, The TMNT were actually acting Super herois, stopping the PD at the begining. Of course they might have just been helping Casey and get some practice, but still...

Right, but in the comics April was there all the time regardless of how she was used. Presently she seems kind of absent, so I figured they were trying something different, so I associated it with how they only used Casey as an extra in the original toon to make it sound like an ironic twist.

alright now for my 2 cents

GREAT EPPISODE. I wouldn't call it a filler....
best line: "ever seek a human in their skivies...not pretty"

When has Raph seen a naked human?? LOL

great eppisode...some of the boys at my school could use the threds the turtles wore in this one...AND WHAT MADE ME REALLY HAPPY...THEIR CLOTHES DIDN'T MATCH THE BANDANA'S! THANK GOD! Color cordinating outfits always made me mad in the old eppisodes. YAY!

okay that is all.

and i love the "Eastman and Laird" as streets...nice touch.

I never thought of that. That would be pretty cool if they tied those two episodes together like that.

I liked it. I wish Casey would've smacked Hun real good b4 Angel stopped him. Also, I think April should be around. She hasn't been seen since Nano.

This episode was pretty cool to me. Casey is getting more fun to watch.

It's nice to know that the Turtles aren't the only ones narrating at the beginning of episodes.

Eastman and Laird does sound like a address!

Okay, first I have to say that I loved this ep. Hilarious, and some good action. Also liked how Casey's character developed here, he wasn't nearly so annoying. Some parts I loved:

- Notice how Dragon Face hides when the battle with the Turtles starts? HA! The coward.
- The whole dang scene with the Battle Shell in the lair. Especially Splinter's praise of Don, then telling him to get the truck out of there! Poor Mikey, he looked so cute standing there shaking while the truck barreled towards him.
- Angel goes to get the Turtles at "Eastman and Laird". Forgoing the subtlety this time around I see.
- Aww, Raph doesn't like his duds. Oh well, I still think they're cool.
- I was kinda worried about the salute thing, and I still can't believe they got away with that.
- Don's "I'm trying to blend here." Then crossing his arms, damn, that just cracked me up for some reason.
- And my ALL TIME FAVORITE Turtle quote: Leo: "Geez, I can barely move in this stuff. What is the deal with humans and clothes?"
Raph: "You ever seen a human in his skivvies? Trust me, it ain't a pretty sight." ROTFL! Though I wanna know... No, on second thought, I don't wanna know.
- I was kinda hoping for a nice strip from the guys. Instead, it's all fast or off-screen. Oh well. *shrug*

Another point, I got no preview of next week's show. *pouts* But at least they waited until after Turtles to start Nascar.
