On his way to the first 'power', Michelangelo suddenly sensed the presence of a second 'power' of around the same level. He wondered how it could have escaped his notice before??? Dammit, it was so hard to feel anything in the wake of this destruction.....

Mike moved towards the second presence, as it seemed to be closer. Better keep my guard up, I dunno if this is friend or foe.....

Despite the carnage caused, there were still many minds within Manhattan. Too many to sort out... too many t-- She blinked, Wuzzat? She could detect--one? No, two--distinct Psi energies coming from her right. She stood there for a moment, singling them both out even more hoping to memorizing the differences between the two and their current location... One was close to the docks and the other...

Randi suddenly felt panicked.

The Second Psi energy was coming her way! Shite! Shite! Shite! She didn't feel like getting into a confrontation THIS soon! No, not today! With out a second thought she leapt off of the side of the building and... seconds before she hit the ground, her fall slowed letting her land softly on her sandled feet.

From there, she ensured that her long coat was fully covering her before she sprinted down the street, away from both energies.

Mike could easily feel the stress levels of the second 'power' elevate. Whoever it was clearly sensed his approach and hauled ass in the opposite direction.

Hmmm.... maybe I should just check out the first one, then??

After a few blocks, Randi slowed to a stop. Her heart was pound and she could barely make out any of the 'snow' any more. Was the other intity still following her?

What am I doing? I am a soldier! She scolded herself, Scared of some one with a power similar to your own? Shame on you!

I was a soldier, I got out of that biz... I don't want to get into a confrontation... I don't even know the outlay of the city yet!

But what if the intity was on her side? She COULD use the help... but then again... She found the energy again and entered the very outer shell of his/her mind--a great stress at this distance--looking for any hints of the owner's intentions.

Venus had never felt so lost as she did right now. Wandering deeper into the city, the fear and pain were starting to overwhelm her. Her heart went out to these poor souls, and she wished there was something she could do. Father... tell me what I'm supposed to do.

Her father's words came back like an old echo, Find... others... In a city this size? How was she suppose to find anyone in this? She stopped and closed her eyes, she had to center her thoughts, center herself. It was just like the training lessons at home, sense out that which is different.

It was... there! Venus opened her eyes. There were a few, moving throughout the city, one in particular that seemed to be getting closer. Venus pulled her cloak closed against a gust of wind. Somehow, she didn't feel prepared for this at all...

NGGGH!! Mike could feel someone trying to enter his mind... even from a great distance. He tried to fight it back. WHO ARE YOU?!

At the moment, Mike was too busy dealing with Randi's "probe" to notice Venus's attempts to locate him..... although he could feel a slight 'flicker' in the recesses of his psyche.

Randi, though she was only on the outskirts of Mike's mind, also felt Venus' attempt. She 'pointed' it out to Mike.

It was as if the girl and psychically clicked her tongue in annoyance. I'm no threat to you. She replied, Trust me, I'm in no mood to fight any one at this point of time--especially some old painter. The last part of her comment was her half-assed attempt at a joke.

When he didn't seem to care much about the other female, the girl's mind seemed to reel with annoyance. What, he didn't sense that the other female was trying to track him? She was just trying to warn him. Think she's about to come your way--just thought you should know...

Then again, the female by the dock's psi was more calm and inviting than the Renaissance Artist she was currently talking to. Maybe SHE should investigate?

Michelangelo raised his eyeridge with a chuckle and transmitted that 'feeling' to Randi. Old painter, huh?
