Yep... I recognized that Raptorish snarl too from after seeing them a good many times on JP. Still intriques me that they speak like Gollum, of all things!

And I bet that April will be the one to die. (boy, this gamble sounds rather morbid now, no?)

Sidenote... if I have to put up with peoples Mile Wide Avatars, then I don't see much wrong with Not So Tall sigs. Of course, I've seen even bigger sigs on the TF forums that really get to be a PITA to scroll through.

Anywayz...

You think DOn will ever confess he secret to the others too?

Probably - only b/c Baxter comes back. What I want to know is why Don left Baxter in that room with all the alien technology for 4 years? Bad move!!!

Do you know this or are you guessing? Because he seems pretty dead to me. To be honest I'd be quite annoyed if he came back after that scene. It was a good death sequence.

Maybe Laird is gonna borrow an idea from former Superman writer/artist Dan Jurgens. One of Superman's main villains throughout the 90s was a character called The Cyborg, aka Hank Henshaw. Basically, when this guy died he transferred his consciousness into machinery and used it to create a new body for himself. He's been defeated and destroyed dozens of times in every way imaginable, but he can never really "die" because his consciousness keeps transferring itself into new technological bodies.

Maybe that's what Laird's going for with Baxter. It's not an original idea, but it is a good one, IMO.

Actually, sounds like TMNT Vol 3.

Rat King: I'm guessing. I'm not "inside" or anything. But I think the hints are there:
1. We already thought Baxter was dead once before.
2. Why would he suddenly show up in Vol 4 anyway without a purpose?
3. Someone mentioned this before but the time travel implications.
4. Stretching here, but cool storyline possibility: perhaps BS is the only one who can save April. Thus, Donny tries to access his memory but unintentionally brings him back...

It's a strong possibility, and alot cooler than the worm clone scenario they used with Shredder (I just didn't understand the concept).

Anyway, I finally got my replacement copy of #9 last night, and I made sure to keep it in good shape.

Hrmm.. interesting possiblity, especially if Leo's superman propostion is considered.

But if you hadn't noticed, Don had Cyborg Baxter pretty much dissambled and disarmed. He was just a body and a head hung from the wall.

True... since we hadn't seen before hand what measures Don took to disarm him. Man, that starts to sound bad the more I think about it.

Hey, I saw Dan Jurgens today. We had our annual MicroCon and he was a guest. He's a local guy, so he's at all our small little comic cons. Still a cool guy, though.

My point is that Baxterbot commented on how being isolated helps him think out scenarios and solve problems, etc. With all that hardware in the room, he had plenty to think about and learn. Anyways, Don prolly shoulda known better.
