James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson, and maybe Michael Bay. Oh and Neil Blomkamp.

No they didn't. One was just a blood bath gore fest, the other, I'm not sure what it was supposed to be. All I know, it was an awful movie.

I am pretty certain many people who post in this thread have no idea about directors and they just post random names,

Or maybe people have preferences that don't align with yours.

Bryan Singer, obviously.

Why did it take me all day to think of that?

I came in here purely to say Gareth Evans, but I've been beaten to it.

The heart of warriors and the other one is about saving one self from madness.

Pretty heartful tbh.

You can make any movie sound like it has heart.

Two best buds must journey across America to truly find themselves, as well to mend a broken item close to both their hearts.

Spoiler:

I didn't imply anything, you just can't fathom someone saying a movie they like is dumb and without heart. I was trying to make a point that very clearly flew over your head.

Also, "implided"? Come on, man.

Zack snider, Bryan singer, sigh. All these big time directors come with the need for big time budgets which introduce all the same big time issues that you all hate with this movie. Truth is only a small percentage of the population really care about the turtles and keeping the turtles true to the origin. So the only directors I would trust are smaller lesser known directors who have impressive work and a passion for the turtles. Rupert Wyatt was virtually an unknown but he made an awesome Planet of the Apes film that was way more brilliant than the better know director Tim Burton's version. Steve Barron's TMNT film was excellent because he didn't have a studio standing over him saying "Change this this and this so we can get more overseas money". He was a small director with complete creative control, a small budget, and a passion for the original TMNT comic books.

It's cool. My point was 300 and Sucker Punch are both pretty shallow movies.

You just put in words what i couldn't. Look at Dredd for example, it's an awesome movie, and it's made by no name director, lesser directors will try to make the movie that fits the comics best as opose to those big ones who will make it "their vission" like Snyder or Bay, they make every movie in their style no matter the material...

Nicolas Winding Refn, if it was a direct version of mirage ( that guy has a true fetish for violence and I love it)

This of course would be a very very dark reboot
