Now this is the Raph that I just love to pieces. He was so amazing in this episode. I loved the others geeking out over there not being a continuation of Crognard. I'm curious what the new show next season will be.
I didn't like Zog as much as the 2k3 version, but I did like that he realized who he was at the end. Could it be that he maybe survived somehow? These last episodes have been some of my all time favorites, let's hope the rest are as good or better. |

Hi guys! Me again - a non-native-English-speaker /
There are some points in this episode that I could not understand when Zog talked: 1. The beacon... orders must triangulate now. 2. All explosions zero on mission status! 3. Up for the beacon! Can somebody please tell me what did he mean? Thank you in advance!!

2. He's just saying there were no bombs in the facility. 3. This is obvious, he's saying he's planting the beacon up there. Plus, he had no nitrogen for months, so he might have some loopy talk as well. |

Anyway, decent episode in my eyes. The most interesting thing was that they went forward to suggest what likely would've happened if Zog actually lived long enough to become lucid again. Of COURSE he was going to go back to his mission and be more than a bit miffed that a small mutant turtle was playing him like a harp. Good going, Raph. Your irresponsible actions led to the Earth being doomed!

Well, I've watched it three times now. It's not getting old at all.
I don't see Zog as being done in at all. He has to return. |

IGN review up
8.5 Was hoping it was going to be over 9.0, I hope he gives the season final a 9.0 or over. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/09/2...-sewers-review

After watching the finale after this, this was a good setup episode for it that leads to a crucial moment towards the end where Zog turns against Earth. The battle inside the Statue of Liberty was cool, even if the actual staircase is narrower than it appears on screen here. Quite the irony though with the Crognard and the Barbarians finale compared to what I just watched today.
Of course, the Statue of Liberty was also the centerpiece in the Turtles in Time 16-bit/arcade games and was a minor feature in Once Upon a Time Machine. Overall: 9/10

Pretty awesome episode. Loved how Raph befriended Zog and tried to lead him just as Leo did in the 2003 series and how they bonded. Too bad Zog turned against them and died at the end though. My heart broke when I saw Raph's face after Zog fell. So sad! But I loved seeing the Mutanimals in this. Also loved the PPG reference when Rockwell told the Turtles where Raph was and Mikey said, "Thanks, Narrator" referencing how Tom Kenny voiced the Narrator in PPG. "Venkman Was Here" was also cool to see. I love how this sets up the finale as a whole and how the Triceratons aren't easy to beat. Should be a good finale though I'll have to wait until Sunday to watch it since if I watch it now, my Internet minutes will rack up, and I don't want that.

"Thank you... narrator?"
Isn't this getting pretty close to breaking the 4th wall already? ![]() I noticed the 3D rendering and some voice work have been tweaked a little compared to the clip we got from SDCC: - bubbles were added to the water where Zog was submerged in the pool - Zog looks wet as he came out from the water - Zog voice are more shaky (eg. the part he charged towards Raph yelling "COMMAND!") and more growls were added - The Kraang secret base found by Zog used to have warmer lighting, it was replaced by a dimmer, cool-white light source - "Tri...Tri-Tri-Tri-Triceraton" was further processed to contain an audio glitch Really loved how the Triceratons were portrayed as such a deadly threat by the Kraang. One of them even tried to jump off the platform as soon as he saw Zog, but it was too late as Zog already grabbed his robot body and smashing it to pieces... ![]() Zog turning against Raph surprised me, considering how he was portrayed as a hero in the 2003 series. His eventual fate should have been expected for people who are familiar with Mirage comic and/or the 2003 series, but still, the way it happened this time was exceptionally dark for a "kids' show"

Hmm... maybe he was just experiencing something similar to altitude sickness; didn't kill him, but was a bit too thin for his actual need.
Anyway, finally saw this. Not bad, a little different which is nice. Just kind of middle of the road for me, nothing really stood out, but wasn't under-impressed either. Liked the inclusion of the Statue of Liberty, surprising that it hadn't turned up until now. |

Question
This episode was absolutely fantastic! I especially love the role Raph played in it. Zog was fantastic! It's good to finally see the triceratons.
However there was something that didn't really make sense to me. At the beginning of the episode they kept asking stuff like "the mysterious Dino-Man is actually real?" I don't remember them ever talking about this in previous episodes so why is this being brought up all of a sudden? Did I miss something, or no? |

Anyway, absolutely fantastic episode! For a good part of season 3, and especially these last few, the episodes have been in a very hit-and-miss pattern for me. However, this was a very strong hit. It was just incredible! 10/10 I loved the new story for Zog, with him not taking the turtles' side once he regained sanity. The detail on the Triceratons is beautiful, and I just instantly love them, being the paleontology nut that I am. I love that right now I'm in the beginning of season 3 of the 2k3 show (watching it for my first time) and I just finished the huge Triceraton invasion in it. I think I like the 2k12 Triceratons better by a little. There were three deaths in this episode! Crognard was eaten by a dragon (my mouth fell open when I heard the crunching, chewing noises. I love it when this show gets away with stuff like that). Then Zog stepped on a Kraang. And, of course, Zog dies, even by committing suicide. I love the type of episodes that don't try to appeal to the youngest fans (who shouldn't be watching this version that is obviously for 9+ or so), as the darker, more grim episodes are always much more suspenseful, emotional, and engaging. Also, Great Raphael episode. I think the only other episode he's had this season was Clash of the Mutanimals, and I hardly consider that a Raph-centric episode seeing as Leo did all the hero work. This episode was long overdue for his character and I hope Raph has many more centric episodes in seasons 4 and 5. The ending fight was beautiful and it was amazing to see the turtles on the Statue of Liberty. It's always great to see famous New York landmarks in the show, such as Coney Island. Final thoughts: Loved Zog, loved the action, loved the jokes, loved the seriousness, loved Raph's return to form, loved the dinosaurs, and I loved that brilliant portable bubble trap thing! My only complaint is that Rockwell was in this episode, who I absolutely despise, yet his inclusion did nothing to lower my 10/10.

This episode was great! Season 3 has been very difficult for me to watch because I keep thinking, is this one going to suck? I tried watching the season finale online but apparently nick's site doesn't like my phone. Anyone have a fix for that?
