Harsh words...wouldn't a true TMNT fan appriciate a new direction, no mater how flawed, tried for the guys in green? I mean by the mid-90's the TMNT were gon...what were we gonna have to get out Turtle fix....it tried and it failed, but atleast it tried to get a new audience for the dwindling TMNT fandom...

I didn't say it didn't...just that it was TMNT at the time....and any TMNT is better than no TMNT if you ask me.

Not neccisarily, I for one was stoked at the idea. Then I saw it and was immiedietly repulsed by it. I prefered going and renting old TMNT Cartoon tapes and watching the First and second movies.

Exactly.

I would prefer a decade of no TMNT over a desecrated series such as NT: TNM. I swear, that series killed my interest a bit. Thank god the current serious eventually came around to win back the faith of the fans.

Me too!
I was even willing to give VENUS a chance. I even watched more than one episode, to give it a chance, before I finally said "this blows" stopped watching all together.

Besides, Charmin TP is just plain better.

Now for a COOL live action TMNT. I'm trying to track down "Our Friend Power 5" which looks more promising than NM ever did!

Actually, you're wrong.
If you look at the polls at the top, you'll notice that most of the fans are able to acknowledge that TNM was truly awful. Those who support it are just supporting it for the sake of being "loyal" fans and would even be satisfied with a bag of manure if it had "TMNT" writin on it.

The thing is, NM COULD Have been good. The potential was there it was just executed poorly. Get a different Staff working on the project and try it again, it could be really good.

Yeah, Saban ruined that show.

They should have hired the Korean Filmakers behind "Our Friend Power 5" to make NM!

The show to me seemed like one big attempt to make TMNT more like Power Rangers which is what beat the cartoon off the air with it's rateings...gah the costume desgins we're so lame. And Venus was just a bad idea that even Laird has apologized for. I truely doubt he had any artist control over that show.

I think that if season 2 DID see the light of day, the show would have gotten much better:

In Season 2, 3 characters from the original cartoon were due to return:

April O'neil
Bebop
Rocksteady

Christ, I how bad they would have looked, I mean they managed to make Shredder look horrible, and unless Venus got killed off and they got better writers the show would be just a much crap as the first season, the costume company probably wouldn't be changed either way.

I can only imagine how horrid they would have looked O_O And even if they looked decent I doubt they would have a good way of putting them in the story. That monkey guy was so lame -_-
