Dark Season-One

Stealth stared at Tiger, confused, mind-bent. He took the blade out of its sheath and stared into the blade.

"So, you were sent to kill as well!" Stealth yelled in amazement, yet confusion. "But... but I don't understand. (sigh) Look Tiger, that was teh past, if you ever regret committing actions you could not control. It was not your fault at all, it was the military's. If it is eating at you all the way to the core, don't worry. That was not your faux pas, but the military's."

Stealth leans toward Tiger and pats her on the shoulder, but contemplated on Rex. He held his hand on her shoulder, unknowingly, thinking of his past.

Now it's your turn, Stealth, Stealth thought to himself. He recognized his hand had remained on her shoulder, and quickly removed it. Stealth stared into Tiger's eyes, then Stealth looked to his toes. All of a sudden, he could here a growl. Apparently, it came from his mouth, and he began to explain his bottled secret.

"Tiger, you might wanna grab a bucket of popcorn," Stealth began, "Okay, I was once an experiment from TGRI. I heard four other guys went through the ooze i was experimented with. (pauses) Well anyway... I was gettin' pretty sick of the joint and broke free." A flash of Stealth murdering all that experimented went through his mind. "I killed every single one of those b*tches that held me and robbed me of my freedom, and I dare not regret doing it, either. Anyway, after that incident, I moved from location to location in this city, until I was found by a guy in some trenchcoat."

Stealth paused for a long second, putting his hands over his face. He lifted his face out of his hands, and spoke to Tiger, explaining of his troubles.

"Well, he appeared to be some human-looking mutant," Stealth continued to explain. "Anyway, he showed me to this underground organization for mutants to infiltrate human bases and eliminate those who are to be executed. The organization was known to be the MAU (Mutant Assosciation Underground). Your tactics would definitely not have worked, for we entered high-security, secretive bases ran by mutant-hating humans. Anyway, the name of the trenchcoat guy was referred to under the code-name of Rex. Stealth was my code-name, of course. And he introduced me to a world I loved forever more! We both were to infiltrate bases together. We sniped all that were to be enemies. The whole point was to infiltrate, not murder, but we killed just for the hell of it."

Stealth paused for a second, thinking of the good 'ol times with Rex. The two were like brothers, until that one day. Stealth sigh deeply, and continued with his explanation.

"Well, the last base," Stealth began, "Was in Britain, Rex's homeland. We were to infiltrate and collect information from a female mutant held hostage, so that we could destroy the British base. The commander didn't go into depth with the lil diva, but who cares. Anyway, there stood the Britsh commander, back in a corner. Me and Rex stood side-by-side, ready to eliminate this son of a b*tch that wanted to destroy people like you and me. (pause) Well, I had secured the hostage secured, and Rex drew out his blade, ready to thrust his blade into the British commander's heart. But what plagued my mind was what took him so long? But the answer came in a split-second when he turned around and cut my right eye! He and the British commander shook hands, and Rex told the commander of the MAUs location. A missile was sent to destroy the base, and they let me be, thinking that the blade had gone through my skull and into my brain. It didn't though. I stood there in my own puddle of blood, while Rex eliminated the female hostage. I couldn't believe what I witnessed."

Stealth bellowed at the top of his lungs, looking into the ceiling with concealed eyes. He settled down, looked back into Tiger's eyes, and continued to talk.

"Rex ruined my right eye, Rex ruined the MAU's base, and Rex ruined my life," Stealth said. "And when I find that b*stard, he will regret ever turning agasint me! I know he's in New York, because I can hear him calling me everyday. And when he voice gets loud enough, I'll make sure his voice molds into a blood-curdling scream!"

Stealth panted and noticed his weapons in the corner. He directed his attention back to Tiger, then spoke again.

"You may regret your actions, but I don't," Stealth said. "And the actions I take upon Rex will be no different!"

Tiger stood in the awkward silence, for once in her life she was speechless. Then without thinking she wrapped her arms around Stealth’s neck and hugged him, suddenly finding the words she wished to say
“ No matter what happens, I shall not betray you like the others in your life have.”

She pulled away from Stealth, picked up her blade and attached it too her belt “ I haven’t used this thing in three years.” she growled, “ 626 is a part of me I must accept and the truth is I miss it…..miss the killing and the bloody battles on the fields.” She looked at Stealth and smirked “I want to battle by your side…… teach me to be silent in the shadows, to blend with them as you do!”

Tiger knew her face still had the sweet and innocent look it always held [/i]it must be hard for Stealth to picture me as a killer she thought or anyone for that matter.

Stealth stared, shockingly, at Tiger as he turned to her. He held her hand, and gave her a word of advice.

"The first thing you'll need is a strong pair of legs," Stealth said. "But I think foxes like you have it naturally."

Stealth walked over to his weapons and picked them up, placing them all in his belt. He stared at Tiger and placed a hand on her soft shoulder.

"I'm glad you see things my way!" Stealth said. "Now follow me!"

Stealth ran to the door, which led to the balcony, he looked back, watching over for Tiger to follow.

Hopefully, I won't betray her like Rex did me! he thought to himself.

Tiger followed Stealth to the balcony, her nose twitched as she scented the wind "You'd think with all these animal senses and instincts ,I would be a natural at something like that....but...." she sighed "Ah-well" she turned around and jumped up, grabbed the edge of the roof and pulled herself up.

She looked out over the other buildings "seems a little too quiet today" She raised a brow and scanned the area again. Tiger shifted into her panther form " I feel so [yawns] tired i need to get my blood pumping."

She gave Stealth a sly look"so lets see how your speed measures up to mine...I'll race you across those four buildings." She growled "so are you up to it?" before Stealth could answered her she shot off across the first building gaining speed rapidly.

Stealth thought to himself, Who does this gal think she is?

He launched off of the balcony and landed past the edge of the first building. Noticing Tiger was ahead, he grabbed a nearby rope from the ledge of the building, threw it like a lasso, and caught Tiger by the legs. He ran up to Tiger and knelt beside her.

"Oops," he told her, "I guess there's a new leader of the race!"

Stealth patted Tiger on the shoulder, gave a quick kiss on her cheek to taunt her, and continued the race.

"Meet you at the finish line!" Stealth said as he walked the rest of the way.

Tigers growl shook the building as the rope around her feet burst into flames "I see how it's gonna be?!" she hissed to Stealth. She jumped up and sped toward him when she got close enough she launched herself at Stealth planning to tackle him, but just as she was mid-way to him something pierced her right flank.

Tiger fell onto Stealth's shoulders knocking him down, her whole back half was paralyzed "What the hell.....?!" She pulled green a dart out of her hindquarters with her teeth and looked in the direction the dart had come.

She focused her eyes and caught sight of someone readjusting the scope on their rifle and ducked as another dart flew over her head. " Damn....they found me!" she shifted into her girl form once more and lay flat on the ground.

She looked to Stealth and pointed in the shooters direction "Third window to the right!" she hissed keeping her body as low as possible.

well lets see how good he is at sniping she thought to herself I am certain this darts effects will wear off, they never make it strong enough for me

Stealth stared at the sniper, looked at Tiger's weak defenseless state, then back at the sniper. The sniper took the shot, but Stealth quickly drew out his glowing kitana's blade and drew out the blade. The dart hit the glowing blade, and fried in its location. Stealth noticed the sniper was becoming hesitant and nervous.

You crazy little *sshole! Stealth yelled to himself.

He drew out his sniper rifle and dropped to the floor. The wind howled in his ears, as he looked into his scope, finding Tiger's assailant placing another dart into the sniper rifle. But it all came to no avail as a sensational surge flowed through Stealth's pointer finger, as it drew back to fire the bullet. The bullet soared through the air and connected with the opposition's forehead. He noticed blood rush backward, and his head snap back, as he fell to the floor, dead as a chopped tree.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Stealth whispered to himself, asking the assailant.

Stealth walked over to Tiger and knelt beside her fallen body. He placed a hand under her head and lifted it up from the ground, as the other hand lifted her back from the ground. He stared into Tiger's eyes.

"Ah, are you okay?" Stealth asked.

Tiger's back legs began to tingle, she looked at Stealth "Yea....I'm ok its already starting to wear off." she held on to Stealth steadying herself as she shook the sleep feeling from her legs "Luckily they......!" she pushed herself away from Stealth and began to heave, suddenly she went down on her knees and vomited a crimson stream.

Tiger stared at the puddle for a moment not wanting to believe it "Stealth maybe it's a good idea if you go." she swallowed as her stomach churned painfully and she put her hand on it and snarled "I am dying......in about 30min my insides wont be inside anymore." she gave him a painful smile " I don't think there is a cure either." She turned from him as more blood poured out of her mouth. "I am sure you will find some other psycho beauty to take my place though." she chuckled as she walked away from him.

"Tiger!" Katrina cries out. Form a distance Kat spots Tiger and can tell she's hurt bad.

"I must go to her and help her" Kat says to Mike.

Kat quickly flies of to help Tiger.

Tiger saw kat coming and stopped her "Kat that might not be a good idea, you should just forget me and leave cause this ain't gonna be pretty."

"A blood bath." she sighed as another heave brought forth more blood "but death is just another challenge." she said in a barely audible voice.

"I can't leave you to die like this," Kat said. "I can help. I have healing powers.I can save your life."

"Sorry but this can't be healed it's a virus and only one person has the cure." She looked at Kat sadly "but thanks for trying my dear friend."

Tiger grimaced as her stomach seemed to be detaching itself from the rest of her body, "but it is ok I am not afraid to die."

Cory watched Tiger, Stealth, and the cat creature from the shadows, waiting for his signal to move in

Poor Tiger I didn't want you to be in pain, but it is the only way for me to get back with you and get that mutant he thought as he crept for a closer view of his opponent

Cory looked at a snapshot of the turtle So Stealth why do you have such a large price on your head? he wondered to himself

Suddenly he heard Tiger announce she could not be healed and he watched the painful expression on her face, the signal......he came out the shadows towards her.

"Get back!!! Give her some room for god sake" he pulled a shot gun out of his trench coat and pointed it at Stealth and Kat. "Back!"

Cory pulled a small black case out of his inside coat pocket "Tiger.....I have the cure baby, I won't let you die."

With the blink of an eye, Stealth drew out his glowing kitana with his left hand and sliced the shotgun in half, watching the other half fall to the ground. He quickly held out his pistol from his right hand, and jeered at Cory.

"State your business!" Stealth yelled.

He noticed that Cory had called Tiger... "baby". Stealth had become heart-sunken, feeling the need to just pull the trigger from his pistol. He slowly lowered the gun, as he noticed that Cory was here to help Tiger, and aid her pain.

"F*ck this," Stealth said. "I got things to do!"

Stealth felt the stinging pain in his heart, and ran away from the scene, noticing Cory, Kat, and Tiger diminishing in size from his perspective. He couldn't bare seeing his future partner in infiltration and stealth assassination fall in pain, or in love with someone she left behind a long time ago. Maybe she was more than a partner of assassination to him. Maybe she was a partner of something else.

Stealth continued to run, but stopped and thought about it. He had noticed that he was already at the other end of the rooftop. He looked back at Tiger, seeing Kat try to verbally ease her. Stealth thought, This wasn't my place, anyway. He looked down at his feet and felt like spewing out his own blood. What could he do, stand next to her in her time of need? Or should he just continue on with his life, pretending that she meant nothing to him?

"I was only trying to help and comfort, tiger," Kat said as she reluctantly backed away from Tiger as the young man pointed his gun at her.

"C...C....Cory?!" She walked up to him "your alive.....but how?" her heart raced, she forgot she was sick, she hadn't seen him in over two years.

Tiger suddenly noticed that Stealth was gone, she turned to see him down at the next building, his words ecohed painfully in her mind. "Stea....." she stopped herself maybe he did have better things to do, then waste his time on her.

i thought he cared, but i guess as usual I am wrong, I guess that'll teach me to be with someone like that the thought saddend her, so she turned her attention to Cory "It's ok they are friends, they won't hurt me." she sighed

Cory threw down his sliced shotgun disgusted, "Well, I am not quite sure how i survived I was in coma for six months, but that dosn't matter I have the Cure and you're sick." he paused "Don't you die on me, cause I don't want to lose you again!"

Cory looked to Kat "I am sorry if I frightened you, you may come closer if you'd like." he rolled up Tigers sleeve and injected the cure into her system.

"If you haven't already guessed my name is Cory, and what might your's be?" he pulled Tiger to him tenderly "Stealth..... why was he here?" he kissed her lightly on her soft lips before she could reply.

Stealth could've sworn he stood on that next rooftop for a long minute, contemplating on what happened. He stared at the other three from across his view, yet sensed danger somewhere. Looking behind himself, he noticed it was that masked man with the bazooka, but with an AK-47 in his grip instead.

"I told you that you would pay!" the masked man said.

"Oh please," Stealth said. "I've seen things in the toilet more challenging than you!"

The masked man pulled the trigger, but Stealth ducked the attack and forced his head into the groinal section of the assailant. The assailant dropped the weapon, clutching his jewels.

"You are pathetic!" Stealth yelled in anger.

Stealth, then, grabbed the masked man by his pants and threw him off of the rooftop. The assailant's screams could be heard echoing all the way down to his concrete fate below. Stealth peered down and found a bloody mess on the ground below.

He ain't gonna make it to his family's reunion, anymore. Stealth thought to himself.

He looked back at Tiger, and thought to himself. This is to you, kid. He quickly saluted Tiger and hopped off of the rooftop, yelling with joy!

She won't think I'm dead, will she? Stealth thought to himself, as he looked below to land on the floor like a cat, his feet hitting the ground with ease. I just hope she will have a place in her heart to think of me again while that Cory fella is layin' smooches all on her face! I'ma miss ya trooper.

For a plit second Tiger thought her body was on fire as the cure coarsed through her viens, but she sighed in relife as her stomach stoped its hellish twisting.

Suddenlt Cory's question came to her but before she could answer he kissed her lightly on the lips and she pulled away from his kiss and his grip "Stealth......he is my friend."

Tiger noticed the hurt look on Cory's face "I am sorry.....It's just been so long.....and this is a shock.....and......and......I just want to go home now."

she walked towards the roof of her apartment complex, she couldn't decide if she wanted Cory to come or not, then she turned hearing the horrible screaming, she watched as Stealth saluted her and dissapeared from sight.

no, what have I done, am i making the wrong decision she though. there was no way Stealth would die that easy not without his revenge, that she did know
