And yeah, I agree with him on Harley and Joker's relationship. The intent may have been to show them in love, but not once did I believe it because the origin was rushed and no detail or dimension in the backstory shown. You're easily pleased and relying on comic knowledge/nostalgia to plug in the gaps, but I actually give a s*it about what a casual may think and they had no reason to invest in the "mad love", you were just expected to swallow it.

As a Suicide Squad comic fan, all I can say is hell no to that. Deadshot and El Diabolo were the best things about it, but everyone else suffered from lack of screen time and real development.

Lol, I was mostly just hoping you'd freak out and make an ass of yourself, since you've been a prick ever since I accidentally found your trigger word.

So you openly admit to harassment/trolling just to get a hard-on from my reaction Ralph? Good to know I mean so much to you

Yes, I was trolling you because you're a vile **** who can't get along with anyone who has a different opinion than you and I think your tantrums are funny.

I'm not cluttering up this thread with our personal beef, I've made a thread for it over in the comments/questions section. If you want to stand up for yourself, go there, but I have very little tolerance for what you're currently doing and am doing something about it.

On topic people.

Zarius, not that I don't enjoy this, but since you're known as the guy who starts arguments all the time in these types of threads and reacts dramatically in them, let this one rest.

If you didn't care for this movie that's perfectly acceptable, you've stated your peace. But don't feel obligated to try and ruin it for everyone else. Accept that the reasons you don't like this movie are NOT fact, and move on. Why hang around this thread if all you're gonna do is insult the movie.

Congrats to Squad on having a great opening weekend

I was trying to do that just that by defusing the situation and redirecting it to another thread, things should be ok in here now.

I don't think what I do is any different from a lot of guys that frequent this place. I've seen worse fights start without me with films I've scarcely got any interest in

Read my review, there are portions of the movie I liked. Not every bad film is irredeemable, and I'm not out to "ruin" it for anyone. Thanks for understanding, I'm sorry if I was a prick to you earlier

How boring and stagnated must people's lives be in this modern world of ours when we react so strongly to overblown movies about funnybook characters?

Can we get back to talking Skwad instead of watching Zarius and TTN trade slaps on the playground?

You're gonna get recessed canceled early, guys.

So for a Suicide Squad 2 lineup, what new characters would we be interested in?

Recurring:

Rick Flag, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Boomerang, Killer Croc

I'd say add in Clayface, Poison Ivy, Killer Frost, or Cheetah. Then some redshirts.

Clayface is one of my favorite villains, so seeing him appear would be swell

Clayface works well in the team dynamic, as Detective Comics lately can attest

Since he'd be mostly CGI, maybe they could get Ron Perlman for the voice.

Ugh, I'd hope he wasn't entirely CG.
Maybe go the Colossus route, and give him some real-world weight.

Ever since movie graphics have been able to do what they can, I've wanted to see Poison Ivy in another movie. Adding her in would be great, expanding on the Batman Rogue gallery, while ultimately replacing the metahuman(s) we lost in this squad.

Clay face could be interesting, and I think Talon would be a good addition. Him or Black Spider. Even cheetah

I know Black Spider is frequently on the Task Force X roster, but I've never cared too much about his character. Should read more older Suicide Squad to get a better feel for him.

Cynically, I think the more Batman villains Suicide Squad movies use, the better it'll do. The Arkham rogues are the most recognized, after all. So absolutely use Clayface, Poison Ivy, and maybe Mr Freeze.

A Talon would never be on the Squad, though; their loyalty to the Court is too extreme.

I whole heartedly agree with the more Batman Villains. But doesn't mean they can't sub in some. Like Killer Frost for Freeze.

Also, there was a talon added to the roster, I believe. Hadn't read the comic with him, but he was added when Ivy and Clayface were

Really? I don't remember that at all.

Yeah, Killer Frost would be great. She was cool () in Assault on Arkham.

And Cheetah would be great for bringing in a Wonder Woman rogue.

Considering this movie more or less bombed, I can't see them making a sequel. We'll see Joker/Harley and likely Amanda Waller again in future movies, but I don't know about the rest.
