Kids will be more drawn to TMNT guarantee it, i went to the theaters and i saw the TMNT posters (I swear i'm not making this up!) and kids were all over the poster of Raph's hand! no joke! and no kids even stop to look at Guardians, the thing is, TMNT will reach a wider audience than Guardians , from late forties to five year olds, TMNT is known around the world, when i saw the TMNT trailer and kids went nuts i was assured that TMNT was going to wipe the floor with Guardians, When the Guardian trailer played.. no response from kids only adults laughing at that stupid hand gesture joke, but on the other hand kids laughed at the 'It's just a mask joke, also older people just for nostalgic reasons will be going to see TMNT,

It's kinda sad that you would attack a movie just because some people you dislike are hoping it does well, or better than another film. It has it's own merits, there's no reason to bash it just because of a silly bias like that. Regardless of which film is more successful, as a seemingly well made Marvel movie, it's going to make bank.

I can vouch for this! Kids are so excited when they saw the trailer, one of them went "Mommy, mommy! Ninja turtles!!" and I just smiled in my seat (I know right, kid? lol).

People who couldn't name two Guardians characters 9 months ago are now claiming a movie filled with 3rd tier Marvel characters will do better than TMNT. The hate for this movie is astonishing.

Excitement? I'm seeing the same stuff you're seeing from GOTG yet a cut scene from Mass Effect is more entertaining. Better yet the trailer for Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain is more impressive than Guardians of whatever. You anti-movie folks are something else.

no one is rooting for GOTG out of spite...we have all said our reasons



GOTG has some great trailers and things that look awesome to me, and makes me feel like it will succeed


TMNT hasn't really show me anything that i can look forward to, but i am still gonna go see it at some point

Because it's from a studio with a proven track record, has very talented folks in the creative team and cast, has created a lot of positive buzz online, and has a great marketing campaign. Anything could happen come August, but it's got a solid recipe for success.

Okay this goes a little bit off topic again, but..

Well it's basically both sides. Some people hate the new tmnt movie so they want GOTG to win. While then there are those who love it, want GOTG to fail. I seen other people on videos, and social sites who say these things all the time. But anyways, I really don't think it matters if some people want tmnt or GOTG to win. Personally, I just want both of them to succeed. But you know what would really suck? If the tmnt movie turns out really good but so many people denied seeing it because they didn't like the designs or because MB's name is attached to it. That's really pissing me off right in this fan base. There are some people who already called the whole movie terrible just by looking at Shredders design, to me that is just ridiculous. I mean, I get if the trailer/designs doesn't interest you or whatever, but there have been a ton of movies where they turn out to be really great, but trailers were just poorly put together. That's why I just don't understand why wont people just at least wait for a review from a few tmnt fans then decide if they want to spend money on it or not. Well, It is better than to judge so harshly on a movie that you haven't even seen yet.

But I do predict that GOTG will make more money overall because of the Marvel brand name, but will see what happens in August.

Yeah this is the same exact situation I had with the Nick show. I hated the designs, I really disliked CGI, and Nickelodeon didn't have a good track record when it comes to great shows on their network at that time. So I just assumed the show was just going to be terrible. But lucky I then decided to give it a chance and watch it, and now I say its one the best re-carnations of the turtles ever.
