Someone should try making an updated Rat King for the new toy line.

Updated, or more like the original comic book? I read somewhere that Playmates just added alot of the gross-stuff on the old Rat-King figure just to amp-up the "gross" factor of the figure. Same thing happened with General Tragg. The figure didn't look at all like his cartoon counterpart, lots of stuff on him & he wasn't even the same color.

What sucks more, is we won't even get a new General Tragg figure cause he was made by Krang & Krang won't be in the new show or toyline. They COULD make a figure similiar to General Tragg though. Like some alien that is made out of rock & just call him "Tragg" or something.

That'd be cool!

Someone really needs to redo the new Splinter.

Any type of Acrylic paint will work right? And are you using primer, or just putting the paint straight on to the fig?

Hey, here's some blurry pics of some customs I made. First up, the TMNT as they appeared when they wrestled on Stump Asteroid.

Woah... Those are some awesome customs, Slythe! I love the Archie costumes. And Slash looks tough! Which figure did you use as a base? And where'd you get the spikey shell?

Thanks for the kind words! Raph + Sculpey = Slash. Well, and some new paint. the weapons and palm tree are Sculpey, and the little aquarium is made from the clear plastic bubble that action figures come in.

I made some wooden nanchakus with some thread connecting them. They're pretty good. I might put some scotch tape on for detail. I'll put up pictures, probably on saturday.

Someone should get custom weapon replicas. Make'em look like they do from the original movie, and then hang them on there wall or something. I'd think that would be wicked if I had all four of the turtles weapons and they all look like the ones from the first movie.

OH I'm thinking of making a custom up to date Mutagen Man that would fit with the new line. It would be based on the amazing drawing done by Tom Kyzivat. Here's a pic of it.

More of his work is found in the Fan Art galleries on the main Technodrome frontpage. He's really good, and I'm hoping to do Wingnut and Krang later on down the road. Mutagen Man would take a lot of time and effort, a lot of super sculpey, and well, just a lot of everything. All I need is an extra loose Mutagen Man from the old series and possibly some spare peices from some robot looking McFarlene figure. Then I'd work from there.

Heya, would anyone know any kinds of paint that will stay on (And won't be glossy or ruin) the new TMNT rubber-like weapons? I want to make them match the ones in the new show.

Use acrylics, you can find them at craft stores or places like Wal-Mart. After they dry, hit them with a non-glossy sealer.

A matte sealer. The one I have is a Folkart outdoor matte sealer. It gives everything a flat look, and prevents chipping.

i sorta did that in my room, i put a sword facing straight down (the new tmnt leo sword), below it a bo(a broomstick w/ an ace bandage around it)and on both sides were a sai(a plastic one that looks real) and a nunchucku(replica of real ones)

but soon factory x is coming out with that weapon display

on the customs topic: i redid my next mutation don & raph to look like the future raph & don in my avatar i'll post it soon
