I would hate to see this show turning to the old one... Well it's only a 3 parter.

Well I guess the "mutant" thing is just for the 3-parter.

Back to topic:
I can't understand why so many people hated this episode, I thought it was very funny. The whole ep was a funny super-hero parody and it was cool to see Mikey's learning process. "I'm not a titan!" I really loved that line...

I didn't think it was that bad...the second best "filler" episode (behind Nano, which is still one of my favorites). I didn't like the whole "learn a lesson at the end of the episode" thing. Any TV show with a Jar Jar Binks reference can't be expected to be that good, though. (Don: Exqueeze me??)

Turtle Titan

Wow! Tough crowd.

I thought that tis episode was a nice break from what has gone before - a much needed breather after the climactic culmanation of the previous 11 episodes. I've said it before: if every episode is a huge conflict between the Turtles and the Shredder, it's gonna get old fast.

I thought there were a lot of funny moments in this episode that no one has commented on: Mikey insistint that he was having a "superhero team-up" even though the other superhero, Silver Sentry, didn't know it yet! Or when Turtle Titan climbs the rope up the side of Malignus' warehouse (much like the old Batman TV series) he keeps hitting himself in the head with his shield ("NOte to self: rethink the shield! Ouch!"). I also like how no matter how dramatic and Batman-like he tried to make his entrances he just could not pull them off! I also like Mikey's belief that all he needs to do to become a superhero is to follow the checklist he made!

I also thought it said alot that when Mikey couldn't make his brothers or Splinter understand what he was trying to do, the person he went to talk with was April! I think that was a very nice touch.

And I liked how the episode focused on Mikey. For all intents and purposes, this was a fun Mikey solo adventure, and I like that they're mixing things up in this way.

Lastly, I thought that the music n this episode was excellent! The big, cinematic, superheroic themes that they created for both Silver Sentry and Turtle Titan really did effectively take us all to a different place for an episode. Apparently not a place many of you wanted to go, but I enjoyed it thoroughy and I give them credit for trying different things with the series!

Viva Turtle Titan!

im just pulling this out of my butt. In the next ep i think we might see shredder wondering why the rat mentiuoneed saki and why they are freaks. He might relate them to his enemys, and he might want to make freaks for himself. ala the second movie. I hope the freaks wont be in the show too much

Well, to be fair, that term has been in use long before Jar Jar came into existance. What was it's first appearance, Wayne's World? Someone said that on the lists. I personally got a kick out of the line.

As for the next eps, I have faith that it won't turn out like the old show. There are ways to take old ideas and reuse them without it being a carbon copy, as it were. From the whole three seconds we were shown, I could see a really good story coming out of this, especially based on the overall writing on the show.

It is not the story in that bothers me, it is the fact they are going to make the mutation an accident that can be done again when wanted. In Mirage all other containers were disposed except the one that was dropped. So their origin was something unique, only leaterhead was mutated in the same way, and it happened before they disposed the ooze.

But this show is not mirage. It has been pretty much true to it up until now, So I was hoping they wouldn't go that way... Well Im still pretty sure I will enjoy the next episodes, the writing team behind the show is brilliant.

I'm with Kali on the whole "exqueeze me?" thing, I've been saying it for ten years or so. Nobody gets it anymore.

I dunno about the whole superhero thing. Chances are we'll never see the guy again, but his presence makes the Turtles seem less special to me. Not that I didn't like the episode or anything. I think it could have been done without an actual superhero, though. I've never really been a fan of the whole crossover deal. I like my Tutrtles to be in their own special "universe" without me having to worry about the backstories for any aardvarks, carrots or Riverdale High students that may appear. Maybe I would have liked it more if Michaelangelo was inspried by a comic book or DVD rather than seeing an actual guy fly around. Still, the episode did show Mikey as being the most "human" of the Turtles, so it's OK with me.

Edit: Oh, I forget if anyone mentioned this, but the Eastman and Laird cops showed up again.
